The Matsui Yama Gold Shimmer delivers a rich, glossy metallic gold with high opacity, and it does it in silicone, so the metallic stays soft and flexible and flexes with high-stretch fabric instead of cracking. It’s built for logos, lettering, luxury branding and athletic graphics on polyester, nylon and spandex, stands up to washing, and can be tinted up to 5% with Yama pigments for custom gold tones. Because metallic silicone reflects heat, give it extra dwell to cure fully — and print it over a clean base for maximum shine.

How to Print Gold Shimmer

1 · Catalyze

Stir well, add 10% catalyst (and up to 5% pigment to tint), mix uniform, rest 5–10 min. 4–6 hr pot life.

2 · Print & keep moving

80–140 mesh (31–55T) — lower mesh = more coverage — 70–80 durometer or triple-duro squeegee, 1–2 strokes with flood between. Keep the ink moving so flakes don’t settle.

3 · Cure fully

Flash ~220°F for 5–8 sec; final cure 300–320°F for 1–2 min (film above 250°F). Metallic reflects heat — slow the belt or extend dwell.

Keep flakes suspended. Metallic flake can settle — keep the ink moving and flood between strokes. For maximum shine on dyed/sublimated fabric, print over a smooth blocker base.
