How to Mix

1 · Prep the base

Start with a Yama silicone base and add your silicone catalyst. Add pigment after the catalyst is incorporated.

2 · Add 3–10%

Weigh in 3%–10% pigment by weight — more for bold, saturated color, less for lighter shades. A scale keeps it repeatable.

3 · Mix & rest

Mix thoroughly until uniform, then let it rest 5–10 minutes to release air bubbles before printing. Cure 300–320°F.

What are Matsui Yama Pigments used for?

They’re high-strength color concentrates for mixing your own custom silicone colors. Blend 3%–10% by weight into a Yama silicone base to hit precise brand or Pantone targets, custom shades or bright fluorescents — all with full silicone stretch and wash durability on performance fabrics.

Can I print the pigments straight from the container?

No — they are concentrates, not a finished ink. Mix them into a catalyzed silicone base at 3–10% by weight, then print. Printing pigment on its own won’t cure or perform correctly.

How much pigment do I add?

3%–10% by weight. Use more for bold, saturated colors and less for lighter shades. Add pigment after the catalyst is mixed into the base, blend thoroughly, and let it rest 5–10 minutes to release air.

Once mixed into a silicone base, they print on polyester, spandex, nylon and blends — activewear, athleisure, swimwear and fashion. Cure at 300–320°F (150–160°C), following your base’s full instructions.

What sizes are available?
