Matsui SI0332 Yama Reducer – Silicone Ink Flow & Viscosity Modifier for the Yama Silicone System

Matsui

Matsui Yama Reducer (SI0332) is designed to optimize the flow and printability of Matsui Yama Silicone Inks without compromising durability, stretch, or performance. This reducer helps lower viscosity for smoother ink handling, improved screen flow, and easier printing on high-stretch garments such as athleticwear, leggings, swimwear, and performance polyester blends.

Ideal for use when working with fine detail, high mesh counts, or when a softer, creamier ink body is desired, Yama Reducer maintains the integrity of the silicone system while improving print smoothness and production efficiency.

This additive is perfect for shops printing premium athleisure and technical fabrics that require consistent ink movement and a high-quality finish.

Price range: $26.20 through $282.10

Instructions for Use

Mixing

  • Stir base ink thoroughly before adding reducer

  • Add 1%–5% Yama Reducer to ink mixture (by weight)

  • Mix thoroughly until smooth and uniform

  • Do not exceed 10% maximum addition

  • Allow ink to rest 5–10 minutes to release air bubbles

Use sparingly — too much reducer may affect opacity or edge definition.

Printing Guidelines

  • Mesh: 80–160 (31–63T)
  • Squeegee: 70–80 durometer or triple-duro
  • Print 1–2 strokes per layer
  • Flash if needed: ~220°F (104°C) for 5–8 seconds

For highly stretchy or bleed-prone fabrics, pair with Yama Blocker Base.

Curing

  • Cure Temperature: 300–320°F (150–160°C)
  • Target Ink Film Temp: > 250°F (121°C)
  • Cure Time: 1–2 minutes depending on dryer

Note: Reducer does not replace catalyst — always follow system mix ratios.

Best Practices:

✅ Add slowly and test flow before adding more
✅ Keep sealed when not in use
✅ Mix only what you will use in pot-life window of silicone system
✅ Test on production fabrics before full run

❌ Do not over-thin — can cause ink build loss or print collapse
❌ Do not mix with non-silicone inks
