- Mix until smooth and uniform
- Let stand 5–10 minutes to release air bubbles
- Only mix what you will use within the pot-life window
Always test before production — silicone chemistry reacts differently than plastisol.
Printing Guidelines
- Use low mesh for maximum opacity, higher mesh for detail
- Print 1–2 strokes per layer
- Flash between colors if required
- Keep screens flooded to prevent drying in mesh
- For bleed-prone fabrics, pair with a silicone blocker base
Curing / Post-Press Notes
-
Silicone reflects heat — allow full dwell time in the dryer
-
Verify cure with:
✅ stretch test
✅ wash test
✅ heat probe on ink film
Do not under-cure — results in cracking or loss of adhesion.
Best Practices
✅ Mix catalyst right before printing
✅ Maintain consistent heat for full cure
✅ Test on production fabrics before full runs
✅ Store sealed & keep pigments suspended when mixing colors
❌ Do not mix with plastisol or water-based ink systems
❌ Do not over-catalyze (reduces pot-life)
