Sawgrass Virtuoso SG500 VersiFlex Hybrid Decorating System

VersiFlex is Sawgrass’ hybrid decorating technology — and this system builds it around the compact Virtuoso SG500. With groundbreaking VersiFlex ink and self-weeding VersiFlex Light paper, one printer can decorate materials that used to require several machines: cotton, blends, nylon and suede apparel, plus wood, ceramic, slate and coated hard goods. There is no pretreatment like DTG/DTF and no cutting or weeding like heat transfer vinyl — you print, press and peel. The kit includes the printer, VersiFlex ink, a 100-sheet box of VersiFlex Light media, design software and a full onboarding-and-support package, so you are producing sellable product fast.

How It Works

Print, press, peel — no pretreat, no cutter:

Print full color from the SG500 — no pretreatment and no white ink needed.

2 · Pair paper

Use VersiFlex Light for soft goods or TruePix for hard blanks.

3 · Press

Heat-press using the VersiFlex setting for that material — self-weeding paper handles the excess.

4 · Peel

Peel to reveal a soft, full-color, wash-ready design — nothing to weed.

What makes VersiFlex different from regular sublimation?

Standard sublimation only works on white/light polyester and coated blanks. VersiFlex adds a low-temperature transfer with self-weeding paper, so this SG500 can also decorate cotton, blends, nylon, suede and wood — all from one printer.

What’s included in the system?

The SG500 printer, VersiFlex ink (CMY + Expander), a 100-sheet box of 8.5″×11″ VersiFlex Light paper, Sawgrass software and MySawgrass access, a free onboarding class and a year of support-desk access. Add a heat press and blanks.

Do I need pretreatment or a cutter?

No. Unlike DTG/DTF there is no pretreatment, and unlike cut vinyl the VersiFlex Light paper is self-weeding — you print, press and peel.

What can I decorate?

Cotton, poly/cotton blends, nylon and suede apparel, plus wood, ceramic, slate and coated hard goods. Because there is no white ink, prints look best on white and light colors.

Which paper do I use for what?

Use VersiFlex Light self-weeding paper for cotton and natural goods, and TruePix sublimation paper for wood, ceramic and other coated hard blanks.

What size can it print?

Up to 8.5″ × 14″. For larger prints, look at the Sawgrass SG1000 (up to 11″ × 17″).

Can I put VersiFlex ink in my existing Sawgrass?

This is a dedicated VersiFlex system. Do not mix VersiFlex with SubliJet-UHD/HD, ChromaBlast or EasySubli — switching ink systems without a proper conversion can damage the printer and voids the warranty.

What’s the warranty?
