Description

Sawgrass TruePix Classic — 11″ x 17″ Sublimation Transfer Paper

The paper is the quiet half of every great sublimation print. TruePix Classic holds your dye-sub ink on the surface so more of it releases into the blank, dries almost instantly so you can press without smudging, and stays flat under heavy ink loads so your registration holds. 100 bright-white sheets per box, batch color-tested, and recommended by Sawgrass for its own printers.

Why Printers Choose TruePix Classic

Sawgrass-Recommended

The dye-sub paper Sawgrass recommends for its own SG-series and Virtuoso printers — tuned for their ink release.

Surface-Hold Coating

Keeps high-viscosity ink on the surface so more dye transfers into your blank and less is wasted.

Fast-Drying

Prints come off the printer nearly dry to the touch — go straight to the heat press, no smudging or offsetting.

Handles High Saturation

Absorbs the heavy ink loads modern printers lay down without cockling, curling, or warping.

Vivid, Fade-Resistant Color

Sharp detail, smooth gradients, and lifelike color that bonds into the substrate and resists fading.

Batch Color-Tested

Every batch is tested for color consistency, so run 100 matches run 1,000.

What’s In The Box & What You Need

100 sheets of TruePix Classic 11″ x 17″ sublimation transfer paper per box.
Compatible with Sawgrass SG500, SG1000, SG400, SG800 & Virtuoso printers.
Pair with Sawgrass SubliJet-UHD sublimation inks for best color.

How Sublimation Works

1. Print & Mirror

Print your mirrored design in dye-sub ink onto the bright-white side of the TruePix sheet.

2. Heat Press

Press the transfer against a polyester or poly-coated blank at the blank’s recommended time and temperature.

3. Dye Turns To Gas

Heat converts the dye to a gas that bonds into the fibers/coating — permanent, smooth, and won’t crack or peel.

Get It Right The First Time

What You Can Sublimate

100% polyester apparel and polymer-coated blanks — mugs, tumblers, metal signs & photo panels, ceramic tiles, coasters, mouse pads, phone cases, keychains.

What Won’t Work

Cotton and natural fibers, uncoated wood/metal/ceramic, and dark substrates — sublimation ink is translucent and needs a white or light poly surface. For cotton, look at DTF or discharge instead.

Which Side Prints

Print on the bright white (coated) side and mirror your image. On Sawgrass desktop printers the white side loads face-down — confirm your printer’s paper orientation before a full run.

Before You Press

Polyester / coated only. Sublimation needs a poly or polymer-coated surface. It will not bond to cotton or uncoated blanks.
Mirror your image. Always flip the design before printing so text and logos read correctly after transfer.
Use the right color settings. Print through Sawgrass Print Manager (or the correct ICC profile) for accurate, repeatable color.
Store it flat & dry. Keep sheets flat, cool, and away from humidity and direct sun to prevent curl and color shift.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

TruePix Classic 11″ x 17″ — Frequently Asked Questions

What printers does TruePix Classic work with?
It’s built for Sawgrass sublimation systems — SG500, SG1000, SG400, SG800, and Virtuoso — and works with Sawgrass SubliJet-UHD, SubliJet, and Artainium inks. Pair it with SubliJet-UHD inks for best color.
Which side do I print on?
Print on the bright white (coated) side, and always mirror your image first. On Sawgrass desktop printers the white side loads facing down — confirm your specific printer’s paper orientation before a full run.
Can I sublimate cotton?
No. Sublimation only bonds to polyester or polymer-coated surfaces, and the ink is translucent so it needs a white/light substrate. For 100% cotton, look at DTF or discharge printing instead.
How many sheets come in a box?
100 sheets per box.
What size is this paper?
This listing is the 11″ x 17″ size, 100 sheets per box. Also available in 8.5×11, 11×17, and 13×19.
Do I need to mirror my image?
Yes — flip (mirror) the design before printing so text and logos read correctly once transferred to the blank.
Why TruePix instead of cheap sublimation paper?
TruePix holds ink on the surface for a fuller color release, dries almost instantly so you can press without smudging, and resists cockling under heavy ink — and every batch is color-tested for consistency. Cheaper papers often cockle, dry slowly, and drift in color batch to batch.
Is it really fast-drying?
Yes. Prints come off the printer nearly dry to the touch, so you can go straight to the heat press with no offsetting or smudging.
What can I make with it?
100% polyester apparel plus polymer-coated blanks — mugs, tumblers, metal signs and photo panels, ceramic tiles, coasters, mouse pads, phone cases, keychains, and more.
How should I store it?
Keep sheets flat in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight and away from humidity, to prevent curl and color shift.
