Description
Matsui Yama Emboss Base — Sculpted, Raised Texture
Some designs need to be felt, not just seen. The Matsui Yama Emboss Base is engineered to expand as it cures, building a raised, sculpted, leather-like emboss with a matte-to-satin surface. Print it through a low mesh in two or three layers, give it dwell time to develop, and you get real dimensional height with crisp, molded edges — perfect for luxury athleisure, high-end fashion, tonal branding and streetwear. Because it’s silicone, that texture stays soft and flexible and moves with high-stretch fabric instead of cracking. Leave it natural for a tonal emboss or tint up to 10% with Yama pigments for color.
Why Print an Emboss Effect
Real dimensional height
Expands on cure into a sculpted, raised texture with a molded, leather-like surface.
Soft & stretchy
Unlike rigid textures, it stays flexible and rebounds with the garment — no cracking on stretch.
Tonal or colored
Run it natural for an understated tonal emboss, or tint up to 10% with pigment.
Premium, tactile branding
Adds a high-end, touchable dimension to logos and graphics on luxury apparel.
How to Print the Emboss
1 · Catalyze
Stir, add 10% catalyst (and up to 10% pigment if coloring), mix uniform, rest 5–10 min. 4–6 hr pot life.
2 · Print low & layered
60–110 mesh (24–43T), 60–70 durometer squeegee, 2–3+ layers with a light flash between for maximum height. Solvent-resistant emulsion.
3 · Cure with dwell
Final cure 300–320°F for 1–2 min (film above 250°F). Allow dwell time so the emboss fully develops. Don’t over-flash.
