Digiace Digital Screen Clear — STEP 2 — Screen Printed After Underbase, Before Digital Pass

Digiace Clear is the bridge between your screen-printed white underbase and your digital inkjet colors. Digital inkjet inks are formulated for specific surface chemistry — and the surface of a cured water-based white underbase is not always optimized for inkjet adhesion. Digiace Clear creates a chemically compatible bonding interface: it accepts the white underbase below and presents a surface that digital CMYK inks adhere to with improved bonding, reduced spreading, sharper dot reproduction, and more accurate, vibrant color. It is the difference between a good digital hybrid print and an excellent one.

Where does it go in the print sequence?

AFTER the white underbase (UB White or Discharge White), BEFORE the digital inkjet pass. On light garments, it can be used alone as a substrate primer without a white underbase.

What equipment is it designed for?

M&R Digital Squeegee, ROQ Hybrid, and ROQ Now digital screen printing systems.

Do I always need Digiace Clear?

If using DS Hybrid UB White or Discharge White as your underbase, YES — Digiace Clear should be printed over them before the digital pass. If using DS Hybrid Pre-Digital White, it can stand alone without Clear.

What mesh should I use?

Up to 230 mesh.

Does it need an activator?

No. Digiace Clear is ready to use without activator. Only Digiace Discharge White requires discharge activator.

Can I mix it with other inks?

⚠️ No. Do not contaminate with other ink sources or non-approved additives. Use dedicated clean vessels and utensils. Cross-contamination may cause the product to test positive for restricted PVCs.
