Description

Franmar Bean-e-doo® Plastisol Ink Remover

Bean-e-doo was Franmar’s first product and the one that proved soy-based chemistry could replace petroleum solvents in professional screen printing shops. It dissolves plastisol, all-purpose, and nylon jacket inks from screens without aggressive chemicals, offensive fumes, or mesh damage. The longer working time compared to fast-evaporating solvents means you can clean screens more thoroughly without rushing.

Original Soy Formula

Bean-e-doo was the first soy-based ink remover for screen printing. Made from 100% American-grown soybeans, it replaced mineral spirits and other petroleum solvents.

Longer Working Time

Unlike fast-evaporating solvents that force you to rush, Bean-e-doo stays active longer so you can clean screens thoroughly without constantly reapplying.

Low Odor

No mineral spirits smell. Dramatically more comfortable for press operators and reclaim room staff who use ink removers constantly throughout the day.

Broad Ink Compatibility

Effectively removes plastisol inks, all-purpose inks, and nylon jacket inks. Covers the most common ink types in textile screen printing shops.

Mesh Safe

Non-caustic formula that won’t damage polyester or nylon mesh fibers during regular use.

100% Biodegradable

Drain-safe and environmentally responsible. Meets the sustainability standards that led Franmar to create soy-based chemistry in the first place.

How to Use Franmar Bean-e-doo

Step 1 — Spray or Pour

Spray or pour a small amount of Bean-e-doo directly onto the ink side of the screen.

Step 2 — Scrub

Scrub the screen with a Biggee™ scrub pad or nylon brush. Work the product into the mesh to break down the ink.

Step 3 — Repeat on Back

Turn the screen over and repeat the application and scrubbing on the back (substrate) side.

Step 4 — Rinse

Rinse both sides of the screen thoroughly with high-pressure water to remove all dissolved ink and chemical residue.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes Bean-e-doo different from regular press wash?

Bean-e-doo is a soy-based ink degradent for reclaim room use. Unlike on-press cleaners that wipe clean without water, Bean-e-doo requires a water rinse and is designed for thorough ink removal as part of a full reclaim process.

Does Bean-e-doo work on water-based inks?

Bean-e-doo is formulated for plastisol, all-purpose, and nylon jacket inks. For water-based inks, use Franmar Aqua-Wash.

Do I need to let Bean-e-doo sit on the screen?

The longer working time is one of its advantages. Let it sit for 30–60 seconds before scrubbing for best results. For heavier deposits, a longer dwell time helps.

Is Bean-e-doo safe for all emulsions?

Most emulsions work with Franmar’s product line. Because water is required in the rinse process, using an emulsion with some water resistance is recommended for best stencil durability.

How much does one gallon clean?

Bean-e-doo is economical — a small amount goes a long way because the soy base stays active. Contact us for current yield data for your screen size and ink type.
