Description

Franmar D•Grease™ Screen Degreaser

The most important step before coating a screen is one most shops skip or rush: degreasing. Skin oils, silicone from pallet adhesive, solvent residue from press cleanup — any of these contaminants cause emulsion to fish-eye, pinhole, or fail to bond properly. D•Grease removes them all in a single wipe-on, rinse-off step. Use it as your final prep before every coat for consistent, defect-free emulsion application.

Pre-Coating Mesh Prep

Removes the contaminants that cause emulsion coating defects: fish-eye, pinholes, lifting edges, and poor adhesion. Critical final step before coating.

Removes Solvent Residue

Cleans up after Color Change and Ickee Stickee Unstuck to remove soy-solvent residues before printing or recoating.

Prevents Emulsion Defects

A properly degreased screen coats more evenly, exposes more crisply, and holds up better during long print runs.

Safe on All Mesh

Non-caustic formula is safe for polyester mesh at all thread counts.

Economical Use

A small amount applied to a damp screen and rinsed cleans thoroughly. Economical per-screen cost.

How to Use Franmar D-Grease

After Press Cleanup

After using Color Change or Ickee Stickee Unstuck, apply D•Grease to the screen. Wipe both sides to remove solvent residue. Rinse with water and allow to dry.

Before Emulsion Coating

After all reclaim steps are complete and the screen is dry, apply D•Grease to both sides of the clean mesh. Allow brief dwell, then rinse thoroughly with water. Dry completely before coating.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is D-Grease the same as a screen degreaser?

Yes. It’s specifically formulated for removing oils and contaminants from screen mesh before emulsion coating.

Do I need to degrease before every coat?

Yes, for best results. Even screens that look clean can have invisible oil and silicone contamination that causes emulsion defects.

When else do I use D-Grease?

After using Color Change or Ickee Stickee Unstuck. These products leave solvent residue that should be removed before printing. D•Grease neutralizes that residue.

How much do I use per screen?

A small amount goes a long way. Apply to a damp screen, wipe both sides, and rinse thoroughly.

Can D-Grease replace Strip-e-doo?

No. D•Grease is a degreaser for mesh prep — it does not remove emulsion. For emulsion removal, use Strip-e-doo. D•Grease is used after emulsion is removed, as a final prep step before recoating.
