Description

CCI 72-A — High-Solvency Press Wash for Every Ink Type

72-A is CCI’s workhorse on-press cleaner — built for shops running a wide variety of ink systems who need one product that handles all of them. Vinyl, UV, epoxy, solvent-based, enamel, water-based — 72-A immediately liquifies them all. Fast drying, zero residue, emulsion safe, and compatible with manual application, spray systems, and recirculation units. The high load capacity keeps it effective longer per fill, reducing per-screen cost in high-volume environments. Available quart through 55-gallon drum.

Immediate Ink Liquification

72-A hits the ink and breaks it down immediately. The high-solvency formula doesn’t need dwell time — apply, agitate, wipe. Color change done.

All Ink Types

Vinyl, UV, epoxy, solvent-based, enamel, water-based — 72-A handles the full spectrum. One press wash for every ink type your shop runs.

Fast Drying, No Residue

Dries quickly without leaving any film or oily residue on the mesh. Screens are tape-ready immediately after cleaning. No contamination of the next color.

Emulsion & Mesh Safe

72-A is safe on photopolymer and dual-cure emulsions when used as directed. Won’t damage mesh fibers or attack stencil chemistry.

Recirculation & Spray System Compatible

Can be used in recirculation units, spray systems, pump systems, and dip tanks in addition to manual application. Built for both manual shops and automated reclaim workflows.

High Load Capacity

High load capacity means the product stays effective through more cleaning cycles before needing replacement. Reduces per-screen chemical cost in high-volume production environments.

Prevents Ghosting & Fabric Staining

By fully dissolving ink before it sets into mesh, 72-A protects the fabric from deep ink staining and prevents ghost images that make full reclaim harder.

Low Odor

Lower odor than many solvent-based press washes of equivalent solvency. Better day-to-day comfort for press operators working in close contact with chemistry during production.

How to Use CCI 72-A

Step 1 — Squeegee Excess Ink

Remove excess ink from the screen with a squeegee before applying 72-A. Removing bulk ink first extends product life and speeds up cleanup.

Step 2 — Apply to Squeegee Side

Apply 72-A to the squeegee (ink) side of the screen using a spray bottle, rag, or pump system. Ensure full coverage of inked areas.

Step 3 — Scrub with Non-Absorbent Pad

Scrub the ink with a non-absorbent pad until the ink liquifies and releases from the mesh. The high-solvency formula works immediately on contact.

Step 4 — Wipe or Squeegee Clean

Wipe the screen clean with shop towels or squeegee off the dissolved ink. Repeat on the back side as needed.

Screen Opener Use

For opening clogged screens during a production run: apply a small amount to the clogged image area on a shop towel and wipe clean. No need to pull the screen off press.

Recirculation Systems

72-A can be continuously recirculated until the product becomes too heavily loaded with ink solids. Filter and reuse as needed. Dispose per local regulations.

⚠️ California Prop 65 Notice

This product can expose you to cumene (contaminant), which is known to the State of California to cause cancer, and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, which is known to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What ink types does CCI 72-A work on?

72-A is designed for all screen printing inks — with particular strength on vinyl, UV, epoxy, solvent-based, and enamel inks. It also handles water-based and plastisol inks. If your shop runs multiple ink systems and you want one press wash that covers all of them, 72-A is the product.

Does 72-A leave any residue on the screen?

No. 72-A dries quickly and leaves no film or oily residue on the mesh. This is important for tape adhesion and for preventing contamination of the next ink color. Screens cleaned with 72-A are tape-ready immediately after drying.

Is CCI 72-A safe on emulsions?

Yes. 72-A is emulsion-safe and capillary stencil safe when used as directed. It removes ink without attacking the stencil chemistry. This makes it suitable for on-press use where the emulsion remains on the screen.

Can 72-A be used in a recirculation unit?

Yes. 72-A is specifically designed for recirculation and spray system use in addition to manual application. It can be continuously recirculated until the product becomes too heavily loaded with ink solids. At that point, filter and reuse or dispose per local regulations.

How does 72-A compare to CCI EnviroSolv?

72-A is a high-solvency solvent-based press wash for all ink types — its strength is on vinyl, UV, epoxy, and solvent inks. EnviroSolv is CCI’s water-based Enviroline® product specifically engineered for water-based and discharge ink environments, with particular strength on dried-in WB ink. For a plastisol-and-UV shop, 72-A. For a WB/discharge shop, EnviroSolv.

Does 72-A prevent ghost images?

Yes. By immediately liquifying and fully removing ink before it sets deep into the mesh, 72-A protects the fabric from deep ink staining and prevents ghost images that make full screen reclaim more difficult.

Is there a Prop 65 warning on CCI 72-A?

Yes. CCI 72-A contains cumene (a contaminant) known to the State of California to cause cancer, and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, known to cause birth defects and reproductive harm. Always wear gloves and eye protection, and use in a well-ventilated area. See P65Warnings.ca.gov for full information.
