Saati Hi-Tex M3 Newman Style Roller Frame Mesh Panels 23″×31″ (6-Pack) – Standard Thread Heavy-Duty Mesh for Newman M3 High-Tension Production Roller Frames
Nortech
The Saati Hi-Tex M3 Newman Style Roller Frame Mesh Panels 23″×31″ (6-Pack) are the standard-thread plastisol workhorse for the Newman M3 roller frame — the production automatic press system capable of reaching 85 Newtons and retensioning on demand. Hi-Tex’s thicker thread diameter delivers superior tear resistance, high tension tolerance, and proven plastisol production performance across decades of heavy-use screen printing. Pre-fitted with M3-profile locking strips. Must be degreased before every use. Not compatible with MZX frames.
⚠️ Frame Compatibility & Degreasing Warning
These panels fit M3-style Newman roller frames only (1 5/8″ roller, 3/4″ socket, 85N max). NOT compatible with MZX frames. Hi-Tex has no surface treatment — must be degreased and abraded before every use prior to coating with emulsion.

Description
The Production Plastisol Standard — Saati Hi-Tex on Newman M3 Frames
Newman M3 frames can reach 85 Newtons. Hi-Tex is built to take it. The thicker thread diameter and high-modulus construction of Hi-Tex handles the sustained high tension, high-volume squeegee pressure, and repeated retensioning cycles that M3 roller frame production shops run. For plastisol production — heavy white underbases, solid spot colors, high-opacity work — this is the mesh that performs at the level your M3 frames are capable of.
📦 What’s Included
Six (6) Saati Hi-Tex mesh panels sized 23″×31″ with M3-profile locking strips, ready to install in your Newman M3-style roller frame. Mesh count and color selected at purchase. Mesh panel only — roller frame not included. Newman Roller Master or manual stretching tools required. Must degrease and abrade before coating with emulsion.
🔗 You’ll Also Need: Locking Strips
These mesh panels require locking strips to secure the mesh into your Newman roller frame channels. Locking strips are sold separately — add a roll to your order to complete your setup. → Nortech Newman Roller Frame Locking Strip (50ft Roll)

Why Hi-Tex for Production Plastisol on Newman M3
💪 Built for High Tension and Heavy Use
Hi-Tex’s thicker 64µm thread diameter tolerates the high tension levels and sustained squeegee pressure of production auto press printing. At Newman M3’s maximum tension of 85 Newtons, Hi-Tex delivers the tear resistance and stability that thin-thread meshes cannot match under heavy production conditions.
🎯 High-Opacity Plastisol Deposits
The thicker thread and narrower mesh opening of Hi-Tex delivers controlled, high-volume plastisol ink deposits — exactly what you need for opaque spot colors on dark garments and white underbases that fully cover. At M3 tension levels, Hi-Tex performs this function with precision and consistency across thousands of prints.
🔄 M3 Retensionability + Hi-Tex Durability
The combination of Newman M3’s retensioning capability and Hi-Tex’s durability extends the life of each panel significantly. Retension after print runs and after reclaiming — Hi-Tex hardens with each retension cycle, improving performance over time rather than degrading.
⚠️ Required: Degrease Hi-Tex Before Every Use
Saati Hi-Tex has no surface treatment. Before coating with emulsion, every Hi-Tex panel must be properly abraded and degreased using a quality screen degreaser. This applies before the first use and before every subsequent reuse. Skipping this step causes poor emulsion adhesion and stencil breakdown on press. This is not required for Hi-Dro M3 panels, which coat immediately.
Hi-Tex M3 — Mesh Count Guide
| Mesh Count | Color | Thread Dia. | Open Area | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 110 Hi-Tex | ⬜ White | 80 µm | — | High-opacity white underbases, thick specialty inks, metallic inks |
| 110 Hi-Tex | 🟨 Yellow | 80 µm | — | Heavy underbases where reduced UV scatter is preferred |
| 158 Hi-Tex | ⬜ White | 64 µm | ~38% | Most popular. Standard plastisol spot colors, general production |
| 158 Hi-Tex | 🟨 Yellow | 64 µm | ~38% | Halftone-sensitive plastisol work, tighter artwork |
| 196 Hi-Tex | 🟨 Yellow | 55 µm | — | Fine detail plastisol, halftones at standard thread durability |
| 230 Hi-Tex | 🟨 Yellow | 48 µm | — | High-detail color, simulated process, fine halftone plastisol |
Hi-Dro vs. Hi-Tex — Choosing the Right Mesh for Your Newman Roller Frame
Both Hi-Dro and Hi-Tex panels are available for Newman roller frames. Most shops stock both and switch based on job type. Here’s how to decide:
| Feature / Factor | 🔴 Hi-Tex (This Product) | 💧 Hi-Dro |
|---|---|---|
| Thread Diameter (158/157 count) | 64 µm — Thicker | 48 µm — Thinner |
| Tear Resistance | Excellent — production grade | Handle with care |
| Squeegee Pressure Needed | Higher — heavier deposits | Lower — easier printing |
| Plastisol Performance | Excellent — decades-proven workhorse | Good — softer hand result |
| Water-Based Performance | Good — must degrease first | Excellent — purpose-built |
| Halftone Performance | Good — thicker threads clip fine dots | Excellent — less dot clipping |
| Surface Treatment | None — must degrease before use | Plasma treated — coat immediately |
| High Tension Tolerance | Excellent — built for high Newton levels | Good — thinner threads have limits |
| Best For | Heavy plastisol, white underbases, high-deposit production | Water-based, discharge, halftones, soft-hand plastisol |
Pro tip: Most high-performance shops stock both. One mesh type for water-based and halftone work, the other for heavy plastisol production. Roller frames make switching practical — retension to the new mesh count and go.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are these panels compatible with MZX Newman roller frames?
No. These fit M3 frames only (1 5/8″ roller, 85N max). If you have MZX frames, order Hi-Tex MZX panels instead. Call (512) 454-0505 if unsure.
Do Hi-Tex panels need to be degreased before coating?
Yes — always, before every use. Hi-Tex has no surface treatment. Use a quality screen degreaser before coating with emulsion. This is the key difference from Hi-Dro which coats immediately.
What mesh counts are available for Hi-Tex M3 panels?
110 (White/Yellow) for heavy underbases. 158 White — most popular all-around plastisol count. 158 Yellow for halftone-sensitive plastisol. 196 Yellow for finer detail. 230 Yellow for high-detail and simulated process. Call (512) 454-0505 for recommendations.
What are the benefits of Newman M3 roller frames for plastisol printing?
Up to 85N sustained tension, retensioning between runs, tighter dot-on-dot registration, faster print speeds, less squeegee pressure needed, thinner ink deposits, faster flashing, and longer squeegee blade life. Screens stay at peak performance rather than drifting.
Where do these ship from?
