FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Triangle 1701 Phoenix White – Frequently Asked Questions

What is Phoenix White best for?
A bright, low-bleed white on 100% cotton and 50/50 blends — as a stand-alone white or an underbase for full-color prints.
Is it good on polyester?
It handles 50/50 blends well; for 100% polyester and the worst bleeders, use 1706 EX Excel or 1707 Superior White.
Phoenix vs Pearl White?
Phoenix is the versatile low-bleed white; 1709 Pearl White is tuned for the highest one-hit opacity on cotton and blends.
What temperature does it cure at?
320°F — always verify full cure with a probe or test strip; proper cure keeps the low-bleed working.
What mesh should I use?
Start around 86–156 mesh (lower for more opacity) with a 70-durometer squeegee, and print/flash/print for the brightest white.
What sizes are available?
Quart, gallon and 5-gallon, plus full pallets for high-volume shops.
