Step 1 — Get Your Formula

Step 2 — Weigh Your Inks

Use a digital gram scale accurate to 0.1g. Dark blues are unforgiving — even small variations shift the hue noticeably. Accuracy is the difference between a true PMS navy and a color that’s just close.

Step 3 — Mix Thoroughly

Mix until fully homogeneous with no streaks. Marine is a dense pigment load — make sure it’s fully incorporated before printing. A paddle mixer on a drill gives you the most consistent results.
