Are the fluorescent bases in the kit different from the standard bases?

Yes — the 5 fluorescent LBX bases use fluorescent pigments that are UV-reactive and produce neon intensity that standard pigments can’t match. They cure at the same 280°F as the standard bases and are fully inter-mixable with them, but they have specific handling notes: don’t overcure (it dulls fluorescent pigments), always underbase on dark garments (fluorescent inks are semi-transparent), and keep flash times short.

Can I use LBX inks on polyester and performance fabrics?

Yes — the 280°F cure temp is specifically designed to be safe on polyester, tri-blends, and performance wear. This is 40°F below standard plastisol cure temps, which reduces dye migration risk on poly garments and prevents scorching of heat-sensitive fabric treatments. One cure temp works across every fabric type in your shop.

How do I confirm ink is fully cured?

Use a donut probe or thermocouple to verify the internal ink temp reaches 280°F — surface temperature guns are not accurate enough for cure verification.
