With the QD-3500, you hit the solvent trigger to flush the stain, then immediately hit the air trigger to blow-dry the treated area, all without putting the gun down or switching tools. 3000 PSI — Enough to Flush Cured Plastisol

At 3000 PSI, the QD-3500 generates enough fluid pressure to drive solvent through tightly-woven fabric and fully flush dissolved ink into the backing cloth. That’s critical when you’re working on cured plastisol — the ink that’s already been through the dryer and bonded to the fiber. Insufficient pressure leaves partially-dissolved ink in the weave; 3000 PSI clears it through.

Japanese-Made Adjustable Nozzle

Rotate it to a pinpoint jet for driving solvent through the stain, then adjust to a fine mist for feathering the edges of the treated area. That feathering step is what prevents rings from forming on sensitive fabrics.

Brass Pump Cylinder — Built for Solvents

Spot cleaning fluids are aggressive solvents. Plastic pump components degrade, swell, and fail with repeated solvent exposure. The QD-3500 uses a brass pump cylinder specifically because brass is chemically resistant to the acetone-based and hydrocarbon-based spot removers used in screen printing. Set Up Your Station

Place stained fabric on a cleaning buck, spotting arm, or spot cleaning station with a clean dry backing cloth underneath. Connect the QD-3500 air line to your shop compressor via the ¼ NPT fitting. Use with a vacuum exhaust system when available to remove solvent vapors from the work area.

Set Nozzle to Pinpoint Jet

Rotate the adjustable nozzle to a concentrated stream position — strong enough to flush the stain through the fabric and into the backing cloth, but not so concentrated that it damages delicate fabric. Hold the gun 6–10 inches from the surface.

Work Outside In

Start from the outside edge of the stain and work inward — never from the center out. This prevents the dissolved ink from spreading into clean fabric. Continue flushing until the stain is completely cleared through the backing cloth.

Feather the Edges

Immediately after flushing, switch the nozzle to fine mist and spray around the treated area. This “feathers” the wet boundary into the surrounding dry fabric, eliminating the halo ring that can form on some fabric types when a sharp wet edge dries.

Blow Dry — One Hand

Press the compressed air trigger to blow dry the treated area. Work from the outside of the treated zone inward. This is the QD-3500’s key advantage — no tool swap, no waiting, no separate blow gun. The garment is dry and ready for inspection in seconds.

Inspect & Clear

Once dry, inspect the treated area under good lighting. If any stain remains, repeat the process. For stubborn cured plastisol, a second pass is occasionally needed on dense knit fabrics. Garments that pass inspection can go directly to reprint or fulfillment.

⚡ Power Requirements

The standard QD-3500 (Item #6410) operates on 110–120V, 60Hz — North American standard. The international version (Item #6411) runs on 220–240V, 50Hz. Make sure you order the correct voltage for your facility. Contact us if you need the 220V version.

🔧 Compressed Air Required for Dryer

The QD-3500’s built-in air dryer requires connection to a compressed air supply via the standard ¼ NPT fitting (adapters may be needed). The gun operates for fluid spraying without air — the air connection is only required to activate the quick-dry feature.

💨 Ventilation Recommended

Use the QD-3500 with a vacuum exhaust system when available to remove solvent vapors from the work area. When used with flammable spot cleaning fluids, ensure adequate ventilation and keep ignition sources away from the work area. Follow all SDS guidelines for your chosen solvent.
