High Viscosity — Stays Put on Wet or Dry Screens

The thick liquid consistency is one of HR2800’s most practical advantages. Apply it to the scrubber or directly to the screen — it stays exactly where you put it, even on a wet screen. Unlike thin liquids that run off vertical screens, HR2800 maintains contact with the mesh during the full dwell period. Critically, you don’t need to wait for the screen to dry before applying. Wet or dry, both work.

Emulsifies & Dissolves Ink Constituents at the Source

HR2800 works at the chemistry level — it lifts haze from the mesh, then emulsifies and dissolves the ink components: resins, binders, pigments, and plasticizers. The dissolved constituents are suspended in solution so they cannot reattach to the mesh surface. A water rinse then carries them completely away.

UV, Conventional & Plastisol Ink Coverage

Effective on UV inks, conventional solvent-based inks, and plastisol inks. RhinoTech specifically recommends HR2800 for all three ink system categories. One product covers the full range of ink staining scenarios in a typical screen printing shop.

Built-In Degreaser — One Step, Not Two

After treating screens with HR2800 and rinsing, no additional degreasing step is required — as long as the screen dries in a clean area. The degreasing action is built into the same application. This reduces both chemistry cost and workflow time in the reclaim room.

Less Odor Than Paste Removers

RhinoTech specifically positions HR2800 against paste-type stain removers on odor. Lower odor chemistry is a real-world advantage in production environments where reclaim room operators work in close proximity to these products all day.

💡 How the Chemistry Works

Ghost images are ink residues embedded in the mesh knuckles — the intersection points where mesh threads cross. Standard reclaim chemistry removes emulsion but doesn’t fully penetrate these knuckle points to dislodge dried ink.

HR2800 targets the individual chemical components of the ink itself: resins, binders, pigments, and plasticizers. By emulsifying and dissolving these constituents, it breaks the adhesion between ink and mesh at a molecular level.

The dissolved constituents are then held in suspension — physically prevented from reattaching to the mesh surface — until the pressure washer carries them away completely.
