STS TPU White DTF Powder is the standard hot-melt adhesive for the vast majority of DTF printing applications. Formulated to pair precisely with STS DTF inks, this powder delivers exceptional bonding strength, flexibility, and a soft hand feel. The 20kg production bag is designed for high-volume DTF shops that go through significant powder volume and need reliable, consistent performance batch after batch. Unlike many lower-cost powders, STS TPU White is plasticizer-free — plasticizers are chemical additives that can leach out over time, causing transfers to become brittle, develop sticky residue, or lose wash durability after repeated laundering.
Why Plasticizer-Free Matters
Plasticizers migrate out of transfers over time — especially with repeated high-temperature washing. Plasticizer-free TPU maintains its flexibility and adhesion strength wash after wash without degradation.
Plasticizer migration creates a tacky surface feel on transfers after washing. STS plasticizer-free powder eliminates this — finished transfers feel soft, not sticky, even after dozens of wash cycles.

STS TPU White Powder is plasticizer-free. Plasticizers are chemical additives used in cheaper powders to lower cost, but they migrate out of transfers over time — causing stickiness, brittleness, and reduced wash durability. STS’s plasticizer-free formula maintains consistent performance and soft hand feel through repeated wash cycles.
Use black powder when printing on dark or black garments — especially low-quality polyester or poly-blend shirts. Black powder reduces dye migration from the fabric into the transfer and prevents visible powder edges on dark backgrounds. For all other applications (light garments, most dark cotton), white powder is the standard choice.
