Every DTF transfer requires adhesive TPU powder applied after printing and before curing. On a desktop printer, hand-shaking powder is manageable. On a 24″ production printer printing at 188 ft²/hr, it’s a bottleneck — and a health hazard. The STS S-20 eliminates the hand-dusting step entirely, delivering uniform powder coverage, consistent IR melt temperatures, and safe filtered exhaust — so your production line keeps moving and your operators stay protected.
S-20 Core Features
Most powder shakers use a single top IR element. The S-20 uses both top and bottom infrared heating to ensure complete, even powder melt across the full film width — eliminating cold spots that cause adhesion failure or transfer peeling in the wash.
The S-20’s heavy-duty motorized hood opens and closes automatically via pneumatic pistons. This allows hands-free operation during production runs and ensures the hood seals correctly for optimal IR performance during curing.
The vacuum conveyor grips the printed film and pulls it through the powder chamber and IR section at a consistent, controllable speed. Tensioned feed and take-up reels on both ends keep the film perfectly flat — no buckling, tracking, or misalignment.
Every parameter — conveyor speed, top and bottom IR temperatures, dwell time — is controlled from the large 7″ HMI screen. No dip switches, no cryptic menus. Set your profile, save it, and run.
DTF powder is ultra-fine and becomes airborne during application. Breathing TPU powder particulate is a serious health risk. The S-20’s integrated air purification system captures powder at the source with HEPA and activated charcoal filters. Replacement filters available from RCS.
Automatic mode runs the full powder application and curing cycle hands-free. Manual mode lets operators control individual stages for setup, testing, or single-piece production. Both modes are accessible directly from the HMI touchscreen.
