Description

Triangle FRP Fire Resistant Plastisol Ink

FR (flame-resistant) garments are only compliant if everything on them — including the print — is compatible with the garment’s fire-retardant treatment. Triangle FRP plastisol is built for exactly that: it’s formulated with active, efficient fire-retardant additives for screen printing and decorating fabrics that have already been treated for fire retardance. Use it to decorate FR workwear, safety apparel, utility uniforms and industrial garments without compromising their treatment. It’s available in white and black, with a base for custom color mixing, and Triangle offers no-charge custom color matching on a 5-gallon minimum.

Why FRP

Made for FR garments

Fire-retardant additives are built into the plastisol for printing FR-treated fabrics.

White, black & custom

Standard white and black plus a mixing base — free color matching at 5-gallon minimum.

Screen-print friendly

Runs on manual and automatic presses like standard plastisol.

Industrial & safety use

Ideal for utility, industrial and safety-apparel decorators.

Important — read this first. FRP is designed to decorate fabrics that are already treated for fire resistance; it does not make a non-FR garment flame resistant. FR compliance depends on the garment, the standard you must meet, and proper application and cure. Confirm your specific standard and request the techsheet — call us at 512-454-0505 before you run production.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Triangle FRP Fire Resistant Plastisol – Frequently Asked Questions

What is Triangle FRP for?
Screen printing and decorating garments that are already treated for fire resistance — FR workwear, safety apparel and industrial uniforms — using ink with built-in fire-retardant additives.
Does FRP make a shirt fireproof?
No. FRP is formulated to decorate fabrics that are already FR-treated without compromising that treatment; it does not make a non-FR garment flame resistant.
What colors does it come in?
White and black as standard, plus a base for custom color mixing. Triangle offers no-charge custom color matching on a 5-gallon minimum.
What standard does it meet?
FR compliance depends on the garment and the standard your job requires. Confirm the specific standard and request the techsheet before production — call 512-454-0505.
How is it applied?
It screen-prints like standard plastisol on manual or automatic presses; follow the FRP techsheet for cure and always verify a full cure.
What about other Triangle inks?
For everyday cotton use the 1100 Series; for low-bleed colors on poly and 50/50 use the 1700 STA-True Series.
