AlbaChem® 1175 DRI-WEB Pallet Adhesive – Strong Hold for Screen Printing on Fleece & Textured Fabrics

Albatross

AlbaChem® 1175 DRI-WEB Pallet Adhesive is a quick-drying web spray adhesive built specifically for heavy, textured, and pile fabrics — fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, and similarly challenging substrates that defeat standard mist adhesives. The web spray pattern creates a fibrous, fast-drying tack that grips deep-pile surfaces securely. It will not transfer residue to garments and maintains hold through the entire print run, making it the professional choice for shops that print heavyweight apparel daily.

Description

AlbaChem® · Item #1175 · Aerosol · Shop All Spray Adhesives

The Quick-Dry Web Adhesive for Fleece, Hoodies & Heavy Garment Printing

AlbaChem® 1175 DRI-WEB is engineered for the print shop’s most challenging substrate: fleece and pile fabric. Its web spray pattern creates a fast-drying fibrous tack that mechanically interlocks with deep-pile surfaces — the kind of grip a mist adhesive simply cannot achieve. Quick-dry means less waiting between loads, non-transferable means clean garments every time, and a long-lasting hold means fewer reapplication stops during heavyweight apparel runs.

What’s Included

1AlbaChem® 1175 DRI-WEB Pallet Adhesive — aerosol can
Available individually or by the case
Pairs with Printers Choice Pallet Tape for optimal platen prep and no-solvent cleanup

Key Performance Features

Web Pattern — Built for Pile & Fleece

The DRI-WEB lays down a fibrous web that physically interlocks with the looped pile of fleece, French terry, and heavyweight knits. Standard mist adhesives sit on top of pile and fail — the web grips from within the fabric texture for a hold that doesn’t budge mid-run.

Quick-Drying Formula

The DRI-WEB formulation dries faster than standard web adhesives. Faster dry = less downtime between garment loads, higher throughput on heavyweight jobs, and more consistent tack that doesn’t stay tacky longer than needed.

Will Not Transfer

Dries to a non-transferable tack. Fleece and hoodies come off the platen clean — no sticky residue on garment interiors that would trigger customer returns or complaints.

Less Overspray

Web spray pattern concentrates adhesive in a tight fibrous deposit with significantly less ambient overspray than fine or coarse mist patterns. Less waste, less buildup on press equipment, and a cleaner working environment.

Long-Lasting Hold

Maintains tack through long runs without gumming up. Fewer reapplication stops during a heavy hoodie job mean higher production throughput and less adhesive used per unit.

Manual & Automatic Compatible

Works equally well on manual screen printing presses and high-speed automatic equipment. The DRI-WEB can keep up with the demands of auto press production cycles on heavyweight garments.

Safety & Ventilation

PPE Required

Chemical-resistant gloves and safety glasses during application. Avoid prolonged skin and eye contact.

Ventilation

Use in a well-ventilated area. Keep shop exhaust running during and after spraying.

Flammability

Flammable aerosol propellant. Keep away from open flames, sparks, and heat. Do not puncture or incinerate.

Step Zero: Apply Pallet Tape Before You Spray

Cover the platen with pallet tape before spraying DRI-WEB. Spray the adhesive onto the tape surface. End-of-job cleanup is just peeling off the tape — no solvents, no scrubbing.

DRI-WEB vs. Standard Adhesives for Fleece

Why Fleece Is Different

Fleece pile absorbs fine mist adhesive without enough surface contact for reliable grip. Garments shift during printing, causing misregistration and wasted product — especially painful on expensive hoodies.

How DRI-WEB Fixes It

The fibrous web pattern interlocks mechanically with the fabric pile rather than sitting on top. Combined with the quick-dry formula, you get a fast, strong, lasting bond that keeps garments locked through every squeegee pass.

1175 vs. 1783 Web

Both are web adhesives for heavy fabrics. The 1175 DRI-WEB emphasizes its quick-dry formulation for faster load times, while the 1783 is the standard premium web. Try both to see which suits your shop’s production pace.

Application Guide

Step 1 — Tape the Platen

Apply pallet tape to clean platen. Smooth flat.

Step 2 — Shake & Spray

Shake well. Hold can at recommended distance. Sweep evenly across the tape surface with a smooth motion.

Step 3 — Let Dry

Allow DRI-WEB to dry fully before loading the first garment. Quick-dry means this is a short wait — but the dry tack is stronger than wet tack.

Step 4 — Load & Print

Place the garment on the adhesive. Press lightly. The web interlocks with the pile and holds securely through every squeegee pass.

Step 5 — Cleanup

Peel pallet tape for zero-solvent cleanup. Invert can and spray until clear air flows to prevent nozzle clogging.

💡 Also Consider

AlbaChem 1783 Web — the standard premium web adhesive, also great for fleece and hoodies.

💡 For Flash Jobs

Running multi-color flash on fleece? Use the 1786 Flash Adhesive — heat-activated tack that increases with each flash cycle.

💡 Aerosol-Free Option

Liquid Pallet Adhesive — water-based brush-on, zero overspray.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions — AlbaChem® 1175 DRI-WEB

What is the DRI-WEB best used for?

The 1175 DRI-WEB is designed specifically for printing on fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, and other heavy or pile fabrics. Its web spray pattern interlocks with fabric pile where standard mist adhesives fail to grip. The quick-dry formulation makes it especially useful for high-volume heavyweight apparel runs. See all spray adhesives →

What does “DRI” mean — why does quick-dry matter?

DRI refers to the quick-drying formulation that sets faster than standard web adhesives. A faster dry means you can load the first garment sooner after application and maintain a tighter production pace. The dry tack is strong and consistent without being over-wet or gummy when it initially lands on the tape.

Will it leave residue on fleece garments?

No. The DRI-WEB will not transfer adhesive residue onto garments. Hoodies and fleece come off the platen clean with no sticky interior surfaces.

Should I use pallet tape with the DRI-WEB?

Yes — always recommended. Apply Printers Choice Pallet Tape first, then spray DRI-WEB onto the tape. End-of-job cleanup is simply peeling the tape with no solvents or scrubbing required.

How does the 1175 compare to the 1783 Web Adhesive?

Both are AlbaChem web adhesives for fleece and pile fabrics. The 1175 DRI-WEB specifically emphasizes its quick-dry formulation for faster production loading. The 1783 is the standard premium web. Both are excellent — shops often stock both and use preference based on production pace and specific substrate.

Is DRI-WEB compatible with automatic presses?

Yes. The 1175 DRI-WEB is compatible with both manual and automatic screen printing presses. Its quick-dry characteristics and long-lasting tack make it suitable for the pace demands of automatic equipment on heavyweight garment jobs.

How do I prevent nozzle clogging?

After each session, invert the can and spray until only clean air flows from the nozzle. This clears the valve of adhesive residue and prevents clogging between uses.
