ROQ PULL Automatic Garment Unload & Stack Machine for Screen Printing

ROQ

The ROQ PULL is the third and final automation module for the ROQ Impress — completing the fully hands-free DTF production line. After the Impress presses and PEEL removes the backing film, PULL uses grippers to automatically remove finished garments from the Impress pallets and stack them on a platform or conveyor — eliminating the operator unloading station entirely. Available in two variants: PULL (standard) and PULL+ (higher-capacity). Once configured and integrated with the Impress, PULL runs hands-free alongside FEED and PEEL. Important: PULL is supported on the P08C04 and P10C05 Impress configurations only — the P06 models support up to 2 simultaneous attachments. When every automation station is in place, a single operator only needs to load blank garments; the machine does the rest.

See How ROQ PULL Automates Garment Unloading & Stacking on the ROQ Impress

ROQ PULL is one of two automation add-on modules that bolt onto the ROQ Impress to speed up and automate the DTF heat transfer process. Paired with ROQ FEED & PEEL, it transforms the Impress from a press that still needs a manual operator station into a fully-automated heat transfer line where one person manages the whole workflow. Watch the video below to see both add-ons in action alongside the Impress — the automated line is exactly what ROQ PULL enables:

Why PULL Is the Final Piece of the Hands-Free Impress Line

🎯 The Third and Final Automation Station

Even with FEED placing transfers and PEEL removing backing film, one manual step still remained on the Impress line — unloading each finished garment from the pallet. PULL automates that final step. The operator no longer needs to stand at the output end of the Impress pulling shirts off pallets; PULL’s grippers do it automatically and stack the finished garments for packaging or downstream processing.

🤖 Gripper-Based Garment Removal

PULL uses mechanical grippers to remove finished garments from the Impress pallets — a method that works cleanly across t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, and other flat goods the Impress presses. The gripper design handles varied garment types without recalibration between jobs.

📚 Stacks on Platform or Conveyor

Once grabbed, the garment is stacked automatically on a platform or conveyor of your choice. If you have downstream folding/packaging automation (like the ROQ FOLD / PACK / BAG line), PULL feeds directly into it. If you just need stacked output for manual packaging, a platform works perfectly. Flexible integration with your existing production layout.

⚡ Two Variants — PULL and PULL+

ROQ PULL is the standard variant — handles up to 600 pcs/hr output from the Impress (18.3 l/min air, 6.4A electric, 126 kg). ROQ PULL+ is the higher-capacity variant (27.5 l/min air, 6.5A electric, 208 kg) built for the most demanding production environments. Both integrate with the Impress the same way; pick based on your peak throughput requirements.

👤 Completes the 1-Operator Hands-Free Workflow

The whole point of the Impress automation stack: one operator loads blank garments onto empty pallets — and nothing else. FEED places transfers, Impress presses them, PEEL removes backing film, and PULL unloads and stacks the finished garments. No manual placement. No manual peeling. No manual unloading. Industrial-scale output with single-operator labor cost.

⚠️ Requires P08C04 or P10C05 Impress

Per ROQ’s official spec, the P06C02 and P06C03 Impress configurations support a maximum of 2 attachments simultaneously — meaning you can have FEED + PEEL, FEED + PULL, or PEEL + PULL, but not all three. To run all three automation modules simultaneously, you need the P08C04 or P10C05 Impress. Plan your Impress config at purchase time based on how much automation you’ll ultimately add.

🔌 Standard Impress Integration

PULL connects to the Impress via the same standard module integration used by FEED and PEEL — powered and configured with the Impress. Once integrated, the ROQ PULL operates alongside FEED and PEEL without separate software or controllers.

🏭 Real Production Impact

On a P10C05 at 600 pcs/hr with 3 automation modules installed, a single operator manages a production output that used to require 4–6 operators on manual equipment. That’s not an incremental improvement — it’s a fundamental restructuring of DTF fulfillment labor economics. For shops scaling print-on-demand, contract decoration, or private-label fulfillment, the operator-headcount reduction is where the ROI shows up.

🔗 Pairs Naturally With ROQ FOLD / PACK / BAG

If you want to go beyond PULL, ROQ offers downstream FOLD, PACK, and BAG modules that work with PULL’s stacked output. Together they create a fully automated DTF-to-packaged-product line. Ask us about the full ROQ fulfillment ecosystem if that’s a direction you’re exploring — we can bundle quote and coordinate installation across the whole stack.

🎯 Eliminates the Last Ergonomic Pain Point

Repetitive unloading from automated presses is one of the most common sources of repetitive-strain complaints in DTF shops. Operators stand for 8–16 hour shifts reaching, grabbing, and placing garments. PULL eliminates that station entirely — your operator handles only the low-fatigue loading step, or takes over higher-value work elsewhere in the shop.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the ROQ PULL actually do?
PULL automates the garment unloading step on the Impress. After the Impress presses and PEEL removes the backing film, PULL’s grippers remove the finished garment from the pallet and stack it on a platform or conveyor. Replaces the human operator who would otherwise stand at the output end of the Impress pulling shirts off.
What’s the difference between PULL and PULL+?
PULL is the standard variant (18.3 l/min air · 6.4A · 126 kg). PULL+ is the higher-capacity variant (27.5 l/min air · 6.5A · 208 kg) — more robust for the most demanding production environments. Both integrate with the Impress identically; PULL+ is worth it for high-throughput shops running the P10C05 at full speed, while PULL works fine for most other production configurations.
Why does PULL need the P08C04 or P10C05 Impress?
Per ROQ’s official factory spec, the P06C02 and P06C03 Impress configurations support a maximum of 2 automation attachments simultaneously. The P08C04 and P10C05 configurations are engineered to support all 3 (FEED + PEEL + PULL). If you want the fully hands-free line, you need the P08 or P10 Impress — plan this at initial purchase because you can’t upgrade a P06 to support 3 attachments later.
Can I use PULL without FEED and PEEL?
Technically yes — PULL operates independently once integrated. But the real value of PULL shows up when you’ve already automated placement (FEED) and peeling (PEEL). Without FEED + PEEL, you still have manual stations at the front of the line. Most shops add PULL last, after they’ve already seen the labor savings from FEED and PEEL.
What order should I buy FEED, PEEL, and PULL?
Most shops with verified production volume buy them in this order: FEED first (highest immediate labor savings — placement is the most tedious station), PEEL second (closes the middle of the line), PULL last (completes the hands-free workflow). Some shops with especially high volume buy all three at install. We’ll help you plan the rollout based on your production ramp.
How does PULL stack garments?
You can configure PULL to stack garments on a platform (for manual downstream packaging) or onto a conveyor (to feed downstream automation like folding, packing, or bagging modules). Flexible integration with your shop layout.
Does PULL work with hoodies, tote bags, and other non-t-shirt garments?
Yes — PULL’s gripper mechanism is designed to handle the full range of garments the Impress presses. T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, golf towels, and similar flat goods all work. Confirm your specific garment types at quote time so we can verify gripper compatibility.
Can I add PULL to an Impress I already own?
Only if your Impress is a P08C04 or P10C05 with room for a third attachment. If you already have a P06C02 or P06C03, PULL isn’t supported — the P06 configurations are limited to 2 attachments. This is a factory spec, not a field-upgradable limitation.
Does PULL integrate with the ROQ FOLD / PACK / BAG line?
Yes — PULL’s conveyor output pairs naturally with ROQ’s downstream FOLD, PACK, and BAG modules if you want to extend automation past the Impress. Together they create a DTF-to-packaged-product line. If you’re heading in that direction, let us know at quote time — we can coordinate the full ecosystem.
What does the warranty cover?
ROQ Solid Warranty — parts, labor, and technician travel. Same premium coverage as every ROQ press and accessory. Coverage periods vary by component; we send the current warranty PDF with every quote.
What’s the install process like?
PULL integrates with an existing Impress via standard ROQ module attachment. Typical onsite install: half a day to a day, including operator training and conveyor/platform configuration. We coordinate the install alongside any other automation modules (FEED, PEEL) you’re adding so production downtime is minimized.
What about real ROI?
PULL eliminates the operator at the output end of the Impress — the final human station on an otherwise-automated line. On a P10C05 running all 3 automation modules at 600 pcs/hr, one operator replaces what used to take 4–6 operators on manual equipment. That’s the labor economics case. Payback period depends on your production volume and local labor costs; for high-volume fulfillment shops, the numbers are compelling.
