Matsui Alpha Trans White | Hybrid Ready-for-Use Water-Based & Discharge Ink — Print on Light Cotton as Water-Based OR Dark Cotton as Discharge with One Ink, No Software Needed

On light and medium-colored cotton garments, use Alpha Trans White straight from the container with no activator. Prints as a standard high-quality water-based white, cures at 320°F. Perfect for ash, light grey, cream, or any light-colored shirt.

On dark 100% cotton, add Printers Choice Discharge Activator at 3–8% by weight. Dissolve activator in warm water first for even dispersion. The activated ink discharges garment dye during curing and produces a soft, embedded discharge white. 12-hour pot life once activated.

Print the same white design on both light and dark shirts in the same job. One ink handles both — add or omit activator to switch modes.

Eliminate separate WB white and discharge white inventories. Alpha Trans White covers both applications from one container.

In discharge mode, the white embeds into the cotton fiber — producing a print that feels like part of the shirt. Significantly softer than plastisol or standard WB white on a blocker underbase.

Blend Alpha Trans White with Alpha Series colors using your Pantone Formula Guide for warm whites, cream tones, or color-tinted light shades — great for fashion and boutique apparel.

Alpha Trans White does NOT need activator for water-based mode on light cotton. Only add activator when printing discharge mode on dark 100% cotton.

When used in discharge mode, only reactive dyes in cotton fibers are removed. Poly threads retain their color. On blends, expect a distressed/vintage effect.

For WB mode only, standard photopolymer emulsion is fine. For discharge mode, upgrade to Chromaline Hydro-X, CP-Tex, or Murakami T9 with MS Hardener.

Discharge results vary by garment brand and dye lot. Always test before production. Discharge-friendly brands: Gildan 64000, Comfort Colors 1717, Bella+Canvas 3001.

Once Printers Choice Discharge Activator is mixed in, use within 12 hours. Only activate what you’ll use in a single shift. Never return activated ink to the original container.
