Description
NBC Beta Series Screen Printing Mesh 55″ Wide
The mesh is the foundation of every screen — and NBC Beta Series is a premium polyester monofilament woven for the two things that matter most on press: dimensional accuracy and tension stability. It stretches evenly, holds tension with low elongation, and gives you crisp, repeatable registration whether you’re laying a heavy white underbase or holding a fine halftone. Trusted for textile, glass and ceramic-tile printing, it’s a workhorse mesh at a fair price — and we cut it to whatever length you need.
How To Order
1. Pick your mesh count
Choose from 80 to 305 (see the guide below). White for lower counts, yellow for higher-detail work.
2. Enter yards in quantity
Whatever number you enter is the length we cut — quantity 5 = one continuous 5-yard piece, 55″ wide.
3. We cut & ship
Your mesh ships as a single continuous length, ready to stretch onto your frames.
Mesh Count Guide — Which Count Do You Need?
Match the mesh count to your artwork and ink. Higher counts hold finer detail with a thinner deposit; lower counts push more ink for bold, opaque prints.
| Mesh count (tpi) | Thread | Color | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 80/100 | 100 µm | White | Thickest deposits — glitter, shimmer, high-density & heavy specialty inks |
| 110/80 | 80 µm | White | Bold spot colors, white underbase, thicker plastisol |
| 125/71 | 71 µm | White | Everyday spot color & underbase with good ink lay |
| 140/63 | 63 µm | Yellow | All-around printing where detail starts to matter |
| 155/61 | 61 µm | Yellow | Fine text, detail & simulated-process spot colors |
| 200/55 | 55 µm | Yellow | Halftones, fine detail & lighter ink deposits |
| 230/48 | 48 µm | Yellow | High-detail process work & water-based prints |
| 305/40 | 40 µm | Yellow | Ultra-fine detail, CMYK & high-mesh water-based |
Lower counts = thicker ink & bolder coverage; higher counts = finer detail & thinner deposits. White mesh is standard for lower counts; yellow (dyed) mesh is used at higher counts to cut light scatter during exposure for sharper edges and finer halftones.

Technical Specifications
Every roll of NBC polyester mesh is supplied with an inspection tag. While flaws are kept to a minimum by careful quality control, any flaw found after thorough inspection is clearly marked to prevent it being stretched into your image area. Thickness and mesh count are precisely controlled and documented on the tag—critical information for setting your production standards. In addition, NBC compensates for flaws y adding one half yard of mesh to the end of the roll free of charge for each flaw. (Any marked flaws within an 18″ space are considered to be one flaw and compensated with a ½ yard of material.) Each flaw is clearly marked on the selvage edge with a red triangle on a blue pressure sensitive label.
