You print water-based or discharge inks, run simulated process or halftone work at scale, want softer hand prints at production speed, or are building toward a premium water-based shop. The 157 White is your all-around workhorse. The 230 Yellow handles halftone and fine-line production. Panels are plasma-treated — no degreasing before coating.

🔴 Choose Hi-Tex HD If…

You run high-volume plastisol production all day, need maximum mesh durability under sustained auto press squeegee pressure, print heavy white underbases, or want the most tear-resistant mesh for demanding production environments. The 158 White covers your production spot colors and underbases. The 230 Yellow handles tighter halftone plastisol work. Must degrease before coating.

Hi-Tex HD — thick thread, high tension tolerance, must degrease before use. The plastisol production workhorse — maximum durability for all-day auto press runs and heavy underbases.

What mesh counts are included and what are they for?

157 White Hi-Dro — all-around water-based production and general spot colors. 230 Yellow Hi-Dro — halftones, sim process, 4-color process (yellow absorbs UV scatter for sharper edges). 158 White Hi-Tex — standard plastisol production and high-opacity underbases. 230 Yellow Hi-Tex — halftone-sensitive plastisol and tighter detail work.

What is the difference between the ECO HD Starter Kit and the standard ECO Frame Starter Kit?

The HD kit includes the ECO HD Frame with its 1.5″×1.75″ profile and M3-class rigidity — built for high-volume auto press production all day. The standard ECO Frame Starter Kit uses the lighter standard frame suited for manual presses and smaller shops. Same locking strip system, same stretching tool.

Is the stretching tool included?

Yes — the Nortech ECO Stretching Tool is included in both kits. It is required to install and properly tension panels in the ECO HD Frame. Without it you cannot apply even tension to the locking strips.

Do Hi-Dro HD panels need to be degreased before coating?

No — Hi-Dro panels are plasma-treated and coat directly after installation. Hi-Tex HD panels must be degreased before every use — use a quality screen degreaser before coating with emulsion.
