Complete Film Output Bundle — Everything Included

The complete 4-item screen printing prepress system: Epson T3170X 24″ printer, CADlink FilmMaker v11 DTP+ RIP, two rolls of AccuJet film, and four bottles of T49 Black ink. No accessories to track down separately — this is everything you need to print production-grade film positives.

The 4 Bundle Components

COMPONENT 1 OF 4

Epson SureColor T3170X Printer

24″ wide-format printer with PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead and the chip-free T49H refillable tank system. Roll + sheet feed for continuous film output. The screen printer’s workhorse film output machine.

COMPONENT 2 OF 4

CADlink FilmMaker v11 DTP+

The industry-standard RIP software for screen printing film positives, Version 11 DTP+ Edition. Drives the T3170X to lay down dense, opaque black exactly where you need it — halftones, fine detail, solid blocks. No more under-exposed screens.

COMPONENT 3 OF 4

2 Rolls of 24″ AccuJet Film

Two rolls of AccuJet waterproof inkjet film, 24″ wide, on a 2″ core. Engineered specifically for inkjet film positives — holds ink without bleed, dries fast, exposes clean. Enough film to get you well into production.

COMPONENT 4 OF 4

4 × T49 Black 140 ml

Four bottles of Epson T49 Black ink, 140 ml each (560 ml total). Designed for the T49H refillable tank system in the T3170X. Black is the only ink that matters for film positives — this is a heavy starter supply.

Why This System Beats Cobbling Parts Together

All parts tuned together

The RIP profiles are dialed in for the T3170X. The film is engineered for Epson inkjet output. The T49 Black is the ink Epson built the tank system for. Nothing’s a mismatch.

Print on day 1

No waiting for film to arrive after you set up the printer. No realizing you forgot to budget for the RIP. Everything ships in one delivery, ready to install in one sitting.

One support line

Bundle bought together means one phone call if something doesn’t work. We’ll walk you through driver install, RIP setup, film loading, and first-print calibration. Call (512) 454-0505.

What This System Replaces

Old desktop printer + tracing paper

If you’re still running a small Epson desktop printer with vellum or tracing paper for positives, this is the upgrade. 24″ output handles larger artwork in one piece, the T49 Black is denser than dye-based black, and the AccuJet film is waterproof and reusable for reference.

Outsourcing film to a service bureau

If you’re paying a print shop $4 – $8 per film positive, this bundle pays for itself fast. Bring film output in-house, iterate art in 5 minutes instead of next-day turnaround, and stop letting your prepress workflow bottleneck production.

T3170X Bundle vs. Cobbling It Together

Heads up — black ink only
This bundle includes 4 bottles of T49 Black, which is what you need for film positives. The T3170X can also use color inks (cyan, magenta, yellow, matte black) for technical color output — those are sold separately if you need them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in this bundle?

Four components ship together: (1) one Epson SureColor T3170X 24″ wide-format printer, (2) one CADlink FilmMaker Version 11 DTP+ Edition RIP software license, (3) two rolls of AccuJet 24″ inkjet film on 2″ cores, and (4) four bottles of T49 Black ink at 140 ml each. Everything you need to start printing screen printing film positives.

Is this the printer only, or the full bundle?

This is the full bundle. Printer, RIP software, two rolls of film, and four bottles of black ink — all included, all ship together, all on one invoice. You will not need to buy any additional consumables to get started.

Why only black ink — what about color?

For screen printing film positives, black is the only ink that matters. Film positives are exposed on photosensitive emulsion — the printer lays down dense, opaque black exactly where you do not want light to reach the emulsion. Color inks are not used in this workflow. If you also need the T3170X for technical color drawings, you can buy color T49 cartridges separately.

How long will 4 bottles of T49 Black last?

Depends entirely on how much film you print, the size of your jobs, and your ink-density settings. As a rough starting point, an average screen printing shop running ~10–20 medium-sized positives per day typically gets several months out of 560 ml of black ink. Heavy production users will go through it faster.

Do you offer setup and training?

Yes — bundle customers get phone setup support included. Call (512) 454-0505 or email [email protected] when your equipment arrives and we will walk you through printer setup, T49H tank fill, RIP installation, film loading, and your first calibrated print. Plan on 1–2 hours for the full setup.

What computer do I need to run the RIP software?

CADlink FilmMaker v11 DTP+ runs on Windows. You will need a Windows PC connected to the T3170X by USB or network. The RIP is not GPU-intensive — any modern Windows machine will run it fine. Check the current CADlink system requirements before purchasing if you are deciding between computers.

Can I try the RIP software before buying the bundle?

Yes. CADlink offers a free trial of FilmMaker v11 DTP+ so you can verify it does what you need before committing to the full bundle. Download it, install it on a Windows machine, and run a few test outputs through your existing printer first. Get the free FilmMaker trial →

Can I finance this bundle?

Yes — this bundle qualifies for equipment financing through our financing partner. Section 179 tax advantages may apply for qualifying businesses. Apply for financing →

What is the shipping lead time?

Same-day shipping if you order by 3:30 PM CT Monday through Friday. The printer ships freight (palletized) and arrives in 3–7 business days depending on your location. The ink, film, and RIP license ship via ground in 2–5 business days. Free shipping on this order (well over $200).

What is the warranty on the printer?

The Epson SureColor T3170X carries Epson’s standard manufacturer warranty (one year limited, registered through Epson). Extended service plans are available through Epson at the time of registration. The consumables in the bundle (ink, film, RIP) are not warrantied past delivery in good condition.
