Description

24-Inch Roll Film for the Epson T3270 — 3″ Core Precision Fit

The Epson SureColor T3270 is a production-class 24-inch wide-format inkjet designed around a 3″ core roll spindle. Load a 2″-core roll on the T3270 and the film won’t seat correctly — the smaller core rattles in the spindle, causing feed inconsistency and registration problems. The AccuJet 24×100 3″ roll is wound to match the T3270’s spindle exactly, seating flush and feeding with consistent tension through all 100 feet. Pair it with DMAX 4.0 coating and you have a production-ready film setup for a serious wide-format screen printing workflow.

3″ Core — T3270 Compatible
The T3270’s production roll spindle uses a 3″ core. Correct fit means zero lateral play, consistent feed tension, and locked-in registration.
24-Inch Production Width
Full 24-inch output handles any standard screen printing positive layout — oversized graphics, wide multi-color separations, and full-width gang layouts.
Production-Grade Film Output
The T3270 is a true production wide-format printer. AccuJet 24×100 is built to match its output volume — 100 feet of consistent, dense film.
DMAX 4.0 Across Full Width
Uniform density across 24 inches of print width. No edge falloff, no density gradient — consistent stencil performance across the entire positive.
Humidity-Resistant Coating
Production screen rooms generate moisture. AccuJet’s waterproof surface keeps film density intact from output through exposure, even in demanding shop environments.
100-Foot Economy
100 feet of 24-inch wide film at roll-format pricing. The per-positive cost compared to sheet film makes the T3270/AccuJet combination one of the most efficient film output setups in the industry.

T3270 vs. T3170X — Understanding the Core Difference

Epson T3170X (2″ Core)
The T3170X is Epson’s current-generation 24-inch wide-format film production printer, using a 2″ core roll spindle. Shops on the T3170X need the AccuJet 24×100 2″ roll.
Epson T3270 (3″ Core)
The T3270 is the earlier Epson 24-inch wide-format production model with a 3″ core spindle. Still widely used in production shops, it requires the AccuJet 24×100 3″ roll for correct fit.
Why This Matters for Your Order
Ordering the wrong core will result in a roll that either rattles on the spindle (wrong core too small) or simply won’t fit (wrong core too large). Confirm your printer model and its roll spindle size before ordering.

Compatible Printers for 24 inch inkjet film roll epson t3270

Epson SureColor T3270
The primary target printer for this roll. The T3270’s 3″ core production spindle accepts the AccuJet 24×100 3″ roll for continuous wide-format film output.
Epson SureColor T3170 (Original)
Some configurations of the original T3170 used a 3″ core. Verify your specific T3170 model’s spindle before ordering.
Other 24-Inch 3″-Core Wide-Format Printers
Any 24-inch wide-format inkjet using a 3″ core roll spindle is compatible with this film. Common in Mutoh and older Roland wide-format models — confirm core size.

Who Uses 24 inch inkjet film roll epson t3270

Epson T3270 Shops
The T3270 is the definitive use case for this roll. If you’re running a T3270 for screen printing film output, the AccuJet 24×100 3″ is your film.
Shops With Production Wide-Format Infrastructure
Screen printing operations that invested in T3270-class wide-format printers run AccuJet 24×100 3″ as their daily production film.
High-Volume Separation Operations
Shops or studios producing dozens of film sets weekly benefit from the 100-foot roll economy and the production capability of a T3270-class printer.
🔲 Mesh Count Range
AccuJet film is compatible with mesh counts from 34 to 355 mesh. Use lower mesh counts (34–86) for heavy specialty inks and high-coverage work; mid-range (110–160) for standard plastisol production; high mesh (200–355) for fine halftones, process printing, and water-based or discharge applications.
⏱ Exposure Time
Exposure time varies based on your emulsion type, coating thickness, mesh count, and light source. Always run a step-wedge test with your specific emulsion setup. Check your emulsion’s spec sheet → for manufacturer starting points.

Roll Footage Calculator

Estimated number of prints from a 24″ × 100′ roll based on print height. Add ~½″ gap between prints for cut lines.

Print Height Estimated Prints Total Output
10″ ~120 prints 20.0 sq ft of output
12″ ~100 prints 16.7 sq ft of output
14″ ~85 prints 14.2 sq ft of output
18″ ~66 prints 11.0 sq ft of output
24″ ~50 prints 8.3 sq ft of output
36″ ~33 prints 5.5 sq ft of output

Estimates are approximate. Actual yield depends on print height, inter-print gap, and any wasted leader footage at roll start/end.

AccuJet film performs best as part of a complete system: the right ink formulated for film output, RIP software that maximizes density, and the right emulsion for your press work. River City Supply carries everything.

🖨️
CADlink FilmMaker RIP Software
We recommend using CADlink FilmMaker with every AccuJet film setup. FilmMaker controls ink limits, linearization, and channel output to push AccuJet to its maximum DMAX — producing denser, more accurate positives than any standard driver. It also eliminates the color management guesswork that causes under-inked or over-inked film.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between this and the 24×100 2″ core roll?
Same film, same size, different core. The 2″ core is for the Epson T3170X; the 3″ core is for the Epson T3270. Ordering the wrong core results in improper seating and feed/registration problems.
Is my printer a T3170X or a T3270?
Check the model number on the front of your printer. The T3170X is Epson’s current-generation model; the T3270 is the previous generation. If unsure, check the spindle diameter on the roll media holder — 2″ is T3170X, 3″ is T3270.
Can I use this roll on a T3170X?
No. The T3170X uses a 2″ core. Use the AccuJet 24×100 2″ core roll for the T3170X.
Does the T3270 require a RIP for film output?
A RIP isn’t strictly required but significantly improves results. CADlink FilmMaker supports the T3270 and provides the ink limit and linearization controls needed to maximize DMAX on AccuJet film.
How does the T3270 compare to the T3170X for film production?
Both are capable production printers for screen printing film output. The T3170X is the current generation with some improvements in print speed and ink efficiency. The T3270 remains widely used and produces excellent results with AccuJet film. The core difference is purely the spindle size.
Does River City Supply ship same day?
