How It Works

Clamp the DiGiT attachment onto your press’s rear clamp. Load the two number screens, drop in the detent rail for your number height, and line up the yellow sight arrow. Slide the head to the digit, flood and print, slide to the next digit — the detent notches snap each number into exact position and spacing. Swap detent rails to change number height; swap screens to change font.

Fits Your Press

The DiGiT fits a well-built rear-clamp press with capacity to hold the ~26 lb attachment and at least two print heads for one-color numbers (four for two-color). On the V-1000

DiGiT-8 on a V-1000 includes a heavy-duty head upgrade. DiGiT-12 on a V-1000 includes the heavy-duty head upgrade plus two support brackets. For 12″ numbers, add the universal support arm (DIGIT-V1-S).

On the V-2000

DiGiT-8 and DiGiT-12 on a V-2000 include two double gas springs to carry the attachment and screens smoothly through every print stroke.

DiGiT vs. DiGiT Jr — Which Is Right for You?

Both print pro-quality numbers. The standard DiGiT is the high-volume workhorse with Vastex-burned screens and 8″ or 12″ capacity. The lightweight DiGiT Jr is a lower-cost entry that uses your own 20×24 screens with DiGiT Jr positives.

What is the Vastex DiGiT numbering system?

A clamp-on attachment that turns almost any rear-clamp manual screen printing press into a fast athletic numbering press in about 20 seconds. It prints jersey and uniform numbers using two pre-burned number screens (digits 1-5 and 6-0) instead of a separate screen for every number.

Which presses does it fit?

Most well-built 2- to 10-station rear-clamp manual presses from any manufacturer, including the Vastex V-1000 and Vastex V-2000. You need capacity to hold the ~26 lb attachment and at least two print heads for one-color numbers (four for two-color).

How fast is it?

Up to 60 one-color numbers per hour with one operator, or 120 per hour with two. Two-color numbers run up to 40/hour (one operator) or 60/hour (two). That’s 2–3× faster than comparable systems — you print consecutive numbers about as fast as regular spot printing.

Do I have to flash between prints?

Not for single-color, two-digit numbers — they print flash-free, so you keep moving. You’d only flash when building a two-color number.

What number sizes can it print?

The DiGiT prints numbers 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″, 10″ and 12″ tall (8″ or 12″ capacity systems). Screens on this product are sold from 4″ up to 12″, plus the 6/4″ combo and 6-digit basketball screens.

I have a side-clamp press — can I use the DiGiT?

Yes, there’s a solution for side-clamp machines. Call 512-454-0505 and we’ll set you up. Removable side clamps are also available for Vastex presses to accommodate larger screens.

How does it get the spacing and registration right?

Detent rails with half-round cutouts lock onto the clamp-rail bearing for instant, repeatable registration, and a bright yellow sight-rail arrow guides placement. Five position notches per number tighten spacing and center two-digit numbers — even around the narrow “1.”

What’s the difference between DiGiT and DiGiT Jr?

The standard DiGiT is the high-volume workhorse with Vastex-burned screens in 8″ or 12″ capacity. The lightweight DiGiT Jr is a lower-cost entry that includes four attachments and uses your own 20×24 screens with DiGiT Jr positives. See the comparison table in the Description.

What’s the difference between an attachment and a Total Kit?

The attachment includes the clamp-on hardware and detent rails. The One-Color Total Kit adds the number screens, squeegees and squeegee rests so you’re ready to print out of the box.

What fonts can I get?

Ten standard fonts: Arial, Poster, Pro Narrow, Pro Ball, San Diego, Soccer, Stencil, Varsity (standard), Western, plus Custom. Number screens and positives are made to your chosen font. Custom fonts carry an art charge (2-hour minimum).

Do I buy one screen or two?

Each number height uses two screens — digits 1-5 and 6-0 — to cover 0–9. Single screens are sold per digit group, so order both (e.g., the 8″ 1-5 and the 8″ 6-0) for a complete set. Basketball screens carry #s 0-5 in Varsity.

Can I print two-color numbers?

Yes — start one-color and add a second DiGiT system. It works with most 4-, 6-, 8- and 10-station presses.

Can it print anything besides numbers?

Yes. The sliding print head can also do names, pocket prints and small graphics, while the rest of your press heads stay open for team names, chest images or loading stations.

What about custom spacing or special fonts?

A Custom Detent Rail handles special fonts or custom spacing between numbers. It’s quote-only — call 512-454-0505 and we’ll set it up.
