CCI TT-250 — Professional Spot Cleaning Station with Source-Capture Fume Extraction
Spot cleaning garments without a dedicated extraction station means solvent fumes go directly into the operator’s breathing zone. That’s a compliance problem, a safety problem, and an avoidable one. CCI built the TT-250 specifically as “the affordable answer to exposure and compliance problems in the spot cleaning process.” A high-CFM blower draws fumes down through the work screen and out through a 4″ side vent at the source — before they reach the operator. That same airflow dries the garment during cleaning. Two built-in 115V outlets power the spot gun and accessories at the station. High-grade stainless steel. Compact 22″×14″×10″ footprint. Optional leg kit converts it to a floor-standing unit. For screen printers, embroiderers, dry cleaners, and apparel decorators.
Source Capture — The Right Way to Handle Spot Cleaning Fumes
There are two approaches to dealing with solvent fumes: ambient air filtration (clean the whole room after fumes spread) and source capture (intercept fumes before they reach the breathing zone). Source capture is dramatically more effective. The TT-250’s high-CFM blower creates negative pressure at the work surface, drawing fumes down through the mesh screen and out through the 4″ side vent before they can rise into the operator’s breathing zone. CCI designed this specifically as “the affordable answer to exposure and compliance problems in the spot cleaning process.”
Dual Function: Fume Extraction + Fabric Drying
The blower that extracts fumes also drives brisk air movement across the garment. This same airflow dries the fabric during the spot cleaning process, speeding up the job and reducing the time each garment spends on the station. Faster dry time = faster throughput on rework = less backlog on rejected garments. You get two functions from a single mechanism with no additional setup.
Turns Misprints into Salvaged Garments
Every misprint that goes to the waste bin represents the full cost of the blank plus labor plus ink. A dedicated spot cleaning station gives you the ability to correct misprints, ink splatter, and blemishes before they become lost inventory. On a shop that prints any significant volume, the TT-250 pays for itself quickly through recovered garments that would otherwise be written off.
Two Built-In 115V Outlets
The TT-250 includes two built-in 115V power outlets. This means your spot cleaning gun and any additional accessories — like lighting or a compressed air line timer — plug directly into the station with no extension cords or separate power strip required. The workstation is self-contained and ready to use.
Compact Footprint — 22″ × 14″ × 10″
At 22 inches long, 14 inches wide, and 10 inches tall, the TT-250 fits on a standard workbench without displacing other equipment. For shops where floor space is at a premium, the ability to keep spot cleaning contained to a single bench area — rather than needing a dedicated floor unit or clearing off a large work surface — is a real operational advantage.
High-Grade Stainless Steel Throughout
The TT-250 is constructed from high-grade stainless steel mounted to a solid base. Stainless steel is the correct material for a spot cleaning station: it resists the solvents used in spot cleaning chemistry, is easy to wipe clean, doesn’t absorb chemical residue, and provides long-term structural durability in a demanding production environment.
Large Angled Work Screen for All Apparel
The TT-250 features a large screen with an angled arm that allows cleaning of all types of apparel — t-shirts, hoodies, polos, jackets, and other garments of varying sizes and weights. The angled design positions the garment over the suction zone for maximum fume capture efficiency during cleaning.
Converts to Floor-Standing with Leg Kit
The TT-250 is designed as a modular system. The optional Leg Kit converts the tabletop unit into a freestanding floor station at a comfortable working height, freeing up bench space and improving ergonomics for extended spot cleaning sessions or high-volume rework. The Arm & Balancer Kit further reduces operator fatigue by supporting the weight of the spot cleaning gun during use.

How to Use the TT-250
Step 1 — Set Up the Station
Place the TT-250 on a stable workbench. Plug into a standard 115V / 15A outlet. Connect your spot cleaning gun and any accessories into the built-in 115V outlets on the unit.
Step 2 — Turn On the Blower
Switch on the high-CFM blower before beginning spot cleaning. The blower creates a negative pressure zone over the work screen, pulling air down through the mesh. This is what captures fumes at the source as you work.
Step 3 — Place Garment on the Work Screen
Lay the garment flat on the angled work screen with the stained area positioned over the suction zone. The angled arm supports the garment at the correct angle for cleaning while the downward airflow pulls fumes away from you.
Step 4 — Apply Spot Remover with the SG-5000
Using the spot cleaning gun (SG-5000 or equivalent), apply SR-97 Spot Remover or other approved spot cleaning fluid to the stained area. The adjustable high-pressure spray allows precise application. The blower immediately begins drawing fumes down through the screen.
Step 5 — Work the Stain
Agitate the stain area as needed with the spot gun or a brush. The blower airflow dries the fabric during cleaning, speeding up the process and maintaining garment integrity.
Step 6 — Inspect and Repeat if Necessary
Inspect the cleaned area. For stubborn or cured plastisol stains, reapply spot remover and repeat. SR-97 is formulated specifically for cured plastisol, water-based inks, and flock adhesive.
Step 7 — Remove Garment
Once the stain is removed and the area is dry, remove the garment from the work screen. The garment is ready for re-inspection or return to production.
⚠️ Ventilate the Vent
The 4″ side vent exhausts fumes captured from the work surface. For maximum safety, route the vent to the outside or connect to your shop’s existing exhaust ductwork. In shops without duct access, ensure the area around the station has adequate ventilation to handle the exhausted air. Consult your local building and OSHA guidelines for workstation exhaust requirements.
🧴 Recommended Spot Cleaning Fluid

What does “digester” mean in this context?
In spot cleaning equipment, “digester” refers to a workstation that combines vacuum suction (for fume extraction) with an open work surface on which garments are cleaned. The term describes the unit’s role: it “digests” (processes) the fumes and solvent vapors released during spot cleaning by pulling them away from the operator at the source. It is not a chemical digester — it is a suction-equipped spot cleaning workstation.
Why is source capture better than just opening a window?
Ambient ventilation — opening a window, running a room fan, relying on general shop airflow — dilutes fumes after they’ve already spread through the room and entered the operator’s breathing zone. Source capture intercepts fumes before they spread, pulling them into the extraction vent the moment they’re generated at the work surface. The difference in actual operator exposure is significant. OSHA guidelines specifically distinguish between source capture and ambient ventilation, with source capture being the preferred engineering control for solvent work.
Does the TT-250 come with a spot cleaning gun and fluid?
The TT-250 Table Top Digester is the base unit only — it does not include a spot cleaning gun or fluid. If you want everything in one order, the TT-250 Startup Kit includes the TT-250, the Leg Kit, the Arm & Balancer Kit, the SG-5000 Spot Cleaning Gun, and a case of SR-97 Spot Remover fluid. The Startup Kit is the recommended way to get a complete, operational spot cleaning station.
What spot remover fluid should I use?
CCI SR-97 is the industry standard spot cleaning fluid formulated for removal of cured inks including plastisol, water-based inks, and flock adhesive. SR-97 is specifically designed for use in CCI spot guns and is compatible with the TT-250 system. Always use spot cleaning fluids with proper fume extraction ventilation — exactly what the TT-250 provides.
Can it be converted to a floor-standing unit?
Yes. The optional CCI TT-250 Leg Kit is designed specifically for this conversion. It raises the TT-250 to a comfortable ergonomic working height, frees up bench space, and improves workflow for operators who spot clean frequently or in high volume. The Leg Kit installs without major modification to the base unit.
What does the Arm & Balancer Kit do?
The Arm & Balancer Kit supports the weight of the spot cleaning gun during use, reducing the force the operator must maintain against the gun’s weight over time. For shops with frequent rework or large volumes of spot cleaning, wrist and hand fatigue from holding the gun unsupported can become a real problem on extended sessions. The arm provides adjustable positioning; the balancer counterweights the gun so it feels nearly weightless during operation.
What power requirements does it need?
The TT-250 requires a standard US 115V / 15A outlet — the same as most standard wall receptacles. No special wiring or dedicated circuit is required for the base unit. The two built-in 115V outlets power the spot cleaning gun and accessories directly at the station.
Where does the exhaust from the 4″ vent go?
The 4″ side vent exhausts the fumes captured from the work surface. For best results, route the exhaust outside the building or connect to your existing shop ventilation ductwork. In shops without duct access, ensure the area has adequate ventilation to handle the exhausted air and consult local OSHA and building code requirements for workstation exhaust in your jurisdiction.
