Primary substrates: 100% light-colored cotton — primary. Also works on blends and polyester with blocker.

Can I use 301W-B on dark garments?
301W-B is designed for light-colored cotton as its primary substrate. For dark garments, its opacity may be insufficient without multiple passes. For dark cotton printing, consider Stretch White or Soft Stretch White which are engineered for dark-garment performance.
Can I use 301W-B on polyester or blends?
You can use 301W-B on blends and polyester, but you should print an underbase blocker first to prevent dye migration. Always test before production. For performance polyester and stretch fabrics, the performance-specific Matsui whites (Stretch White, EasyPrint White, etc.) are better suited.
Why does 301W-B go up to 305 mesh?
The ultra-thin particle size and low viscosity of 301W-B allows it to clear very fine mesh without plugging. The 305 mesh range produces the thinnest, softest possible ink deposit — essential for achieving the barely-there hand feel on premium cotton garments.
Is 301W-B good as a mixing base?
Yes — 301W-B can be mixed with up to 15% Matsui Neo Pigments to create custom pastel colors on cotton with the same ultra-soft hand feel. For cotton-specific custom color work, 301W-B produces the softest pastel inks in the Matsui lineup.
