Mix it with CCI CMS pigment concentrates for Pantone-matched colors. PVC-free and phthalate-free. Requires a discharge activator.

CCI D Base — Ultra-Soft Water-Based Discharge for Dark Cotton
CCI D Base is a premium clear water-based discharge mixing base built for the softest possible prints on dark 100% cotton. Unlike plastisol that lays a film on top of the shirt, discharge printing chemically removes the garment’s dye and replaces it with pigment embedded down in the cotton fibers. The result is a print you can barely feel — vibrant color with zero surface buildup and a hand feel identical to the blank garment. It’s the discharge counterpart to CCI W-Base (for light garments), and it uses the same CCI CMS pigment system for consistent, Pantone-matched color across your whole line.
Three Ways to Use D Base
1 · Custom Color Discharge
Mix D Base with CCI CMS pigment concentrates to print Pantone-matched colors directly into dark cotton — soft, bright and permanent.
2 · Color Stripping
Print D Base with activator only (no pigment) to strip the garment dye back to the natural cotton base color for a tonal, vintage look.
3 · Discharged Underbase
Lay down activated D Base as a soft foundation layer, then overprint with other compatible inks — a low-buildup alternative to a white plastisol underbase.
Mix Your Color — CCI Color Mixer
Use the CCI Color Management System to find the exact pigment recipe for your Pantone color. Enter a PMS code and the mixer gives you the CMS pigment formula to add to your D Base — consistent, repeatable, dead-on color every batch.
