Description

The White That Works on Whatever You’re Running.

Most production shops aren’t running one fabric type — they’re running cotton tees, 50/50 blends, performance poly-cotton, and the occasional 100% polyester jersey, often in the same day. LB000 Poly White is built for that reality. A premium low-bleed white with a flexible cure range from 250°F to 320°F, exceptional opacity, superior fiber matte-down, and bleed resistance that holds on cotton, blends, and a wide range of polyester fabrics. Use it as a dark-shirt underbase, a highlight white, or a standalone spot color. Ships from River City Supply with same-day shipping — no seasonal heat restrictions, no separate drop-ship shipment, no minimum order complications. Just a reliable poly white in stock when you need it.

Why LB000 Poly White?

Low-Bleed Across the Broadest Substrate Range

Formulated specifically for bleed resistance on cotton, cotton/polyester blends, and certain 100% polyester fabrics — not just cotton. That coverage matters for shops printing mixed orders where the same white needs to hold up on a 100% cotton tee and a 50/50 jersey in the same run. Always pre-test with specific garment colorways before production; poly dye chemistry varies by manufacturer.

Superior Fiber Matte-Down & Drape

Fiber matte-down is the measure of how cleanly the ink presses fabric fibers flat during cure — prints with poor matte-down have a fuzzy, textured surface where fabric fibers stick up through the ink. LB000 has superior fiber matte-down, producing a clean, smooth print surface with excellent drape. The result is a print that looks good and wears well.

Flexible Cure Range for Any Dryer Setup

Full cure from 250°F to 320°F with variable dwell time. Flash cure at 220°F in 2–3 seconds. The wide cure window makes LB000 forgiving across different dryer setups, belt speeds, and production volumes — from a small conveyor dryer on a 4-color manual to a high-throughput automatic tunnel. Adjust belt speed to hit your target temp, not the other way around.

Fine Mesh Halftone Performance

LB000 runs clean through 86–230 mesh — a wider range than most underbase whites. At 200–230 mesh, it’s capable of halftone underbase work and simulated process printing, not just solid flood underbases. The creamy consistency holds sharp edges at fine mesh counts without bridging or clogging, even on longer production runs.

Three Ways to Run LB000 Poly White

As an Underbase

First-down on dark cotton, blends, and polyester garments. Flash cure at 220°F for 2–3 seconds dry-to-touch. Print top colors wet-on-flash. High opacity blocks the substrate completely for accurate, vibrant top color results.

As a Highlight White

Last-down highlight white on simulated process and multi-color jobs. At 160–230 mesh for detail control, LB000’s fine-mesh capable consistency prints crisp highlights without bridging or smearing into adjacent colors.

As a Spot White

Single-color spot white on light or dark garments. The consistent body, excellent opacity, and bleed-resistant formulation make it a clean standalone choice across every fabric type in the lineup.

Available Sizes

  • QQuart (32 oz) — Ideal for shops evaluating LB000 for mixed-fabric production or running smaller poly-blend jobs
  • GGallon (128 oz) — Standard production size for shops running regular underbase and spot white work across cotton and poly blends
  • 55-Gallon Pail — High-volume shops with heavy mixed-fabric production running cotton, blends, and polyester apparel daily

Press Settings & Application

Mesh & Screen

86–230 monofilament with 20–30 N/cm² tension. Use consistently tensioned screens — loose mesh is the leading cause of uneven ink deposit and bleed resistance failure on poly blends. Use sharp-edged squeegees for best results.

Squeegee

70–75 durometer, square-edge, sharp blade. Versatile across squeegee pressures — adjust based on mesh count and deposit requirements. Ensure a proper ink deposit to maximize bleed resistance and film strength on poly fabrics.

Flash & Cure

Flash at 220°F for 2–3 seconds until dry to the touch. Full cure at 260–320°F for up to 60 seconds depending on belt speed and ink deposit. For low-temp curing on sensitive fabrics, run at 250°F for at least 90 seconds. Verify with a donut probe.

Thinning & Clean-Up

Use 1–2% Special Reducer if thinning is needed — stir thoroughly before adding any reducer to assess actual printing viscosity first. Clean up with ink degradant, press wash, or odorless mineral spirits. Always stir ink thoroughly before printing.

⚠ Pre-Test Every Polyester Garment

LB000 performs on many polyester fabrics, but polyester dye chemistry varies widely between garment manufacturers and colorways. Always pre-test the specific garment and colorway under your production dryer settings before committing to a production run. Some dyes will bleed at any temperature — no white plastisol resolves that without a dedicated dye blocker.

⚠ Don’t Thin Before Checking Actual Viscosity

Plastisol inks “body up” in the container and often loosen significantly once stirred thoroughly. Always stir LB000 completely and assess actual printing viscosity before adding any reducer. Over-thinning reduces opacity and bleed resistance — the two properties you’re buying this ink for. If thinning is needed, use 1–2% Special Reducer maximum.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes LB000 a “poly white” — what’s different from a regular white?

The term “poly white” refers to a white plastisol ink specifically formulated with bleed resistance on polyester and poly-blend fabrics — not just cotton. The formulation uses non-migrating pigments and a chemistry designed to sit on top of the fabric and resist the dye migration that happens when polyester is heated during cure. LB000 is also formulated for superior fiber matte-down and drape, which matters most on smoother polyester fabric surfaces.

Will LB000 prevent dye migration on 100% polyester garments?

For many 100% polyester garments, yes — especially when you keep cure temps at the lower end of the range (250–260°F). But polyester dye chemistry varies significantly between garment manufacturers and colorways. Some fabrics bleed even at very low cure temps, and no white plastisol will stop the most reactive dyes without a dedicated dye blocker underbase. Always pre-test the specific garment and colorway before running production. If you’re seeing bleed on test prints, move to a blocker.

What is fiber matte-down and why does it matter?

Fiber matte-down is how effectively the ink presses fabric fibers flat against the surface during printing and curing. Inks with poor matte-down leave fabric fibers standing up through the print surface, creating a fuzzy or rough texture that looks and feels unfinished. LB000’s superior fiber matte-down produces a clean, smooth print surface — especially noticeable on polyester and poly-blend fabrics where the smoother fiber structure makes the difference more visible.

How does LB000 compare to LB001 Premium White for polyester work?

Both are designed for polyester and poly blends. The practical differences: LB000 cures at 250–320°F, ships from River City Supply year-round with no heat restrictions, and can be combined with other items in your order. LB001 cures as low as 260°F (slightly lower floor), is drop-ship only with a separate shipment, and is restricted during hot months. For most shops, LB000 is the more practical choice for everyday polyester work. LB001 is the choice when you specifically need that lowest possible cure temperature for the most dye-reactive fabrics.

What cure time and temperature should I use for best bleed resistance?

For maximum bleed resistance on poly blends, cure at the lower end of the range — 250–260°F internal ink temp for 90 seconds minimum. The lower the dryer temperature, the less dye activation occurs in the polyester. Verify with a donut probe, then do both a stretch test (for cure) and a visual inspection for bleed before shipping. A wash test after 3–5 hot cycles confirms long-term performance.

Can LB000 run halftone underbase work?

Yes — the creamy consistency runs cleanly through 86–230 mesh, which includes the 160–230 mesh range used for halftone underbases in simulated process printing. Use consistently tensioned screens, sharp-edged squeegees, and proper off-contact distance for the cleanest halftone reproduction. The wide mesh range is one of LB000’s advantages over coarser-bodied poly whites that are limited to underbase flood work.

Does River City Supply ship same day?

Yes — orders placed before 3:30 PM CT Monday through Friday ship the same day from River City Supply. Free shipping applies on orders over $200. LB000 ships with your full order — no separate shipment, no drop-ship delay. Call (512) 454-0505 or email [email protected] with any questions.
