Printers Choice Chill White – Premium Low Cure White Plastisol Ink for Soft Prints on Cotton & Blends
Printers Choice
Printers Choice Chill White is a low-cure, non-phthalate plastisol ink built for high-opacity white prints on cotton and cotton/polyester blend garments. It cures at just 270°F — lower than standard plastisol — with a soft hand, matte finish, and reliable bleed resistance on blends. Ready to print straight from the container, it works as a standalone spot white or as an underbase on dark fabrics. If thinning is needed, add Curable Reducer at 1–5% by volume — that’s it.
Bright, clean coverage on cotton and blends
1–1.5 min full cure, cooler than standard plastisol
Clean matte look with soft feel after cure
Holds on cotton/poly blends without dye strike-through
Prints cleanly on 110–305 mesh

Description
Colder Cure. Cleaner Print. Softer Feel.
Standard plastisol whites cure at 320°F. Printers Choice Chill White cures at 270°F — and that 50-degree difference matters more than most shops realize. Less heat means safer operation on cotton/poly blends, lower energy consumption, faster belt speeds, and reduced risk of garment distortion on heat-sensitive fabrics. You get a high-opacity white with a soft hand and matte finish that performs consistently on 110 through 305 mesh. No additives needed straight from the container. If you need to reduce viscosity, Curable Reducer at 1–5% by volume is all it takes.
Why Printers Choice Chill White?
Most cotton/poly blend garments start showing heat distortion and dye migration risk above 300°F. Chill White’s 270°F cure keeps the dryer well below that threshold — protecting fabric integrity, reducing bleed risk on blends, and letting you run belt speeds that keep production moving without babysitting the dryer.
Most white plastisols are limited to coarse mesh for opacity. Chill White runs clean all the way up to 305 mesh — which means you’re not swapping inks when a job calls for fine detail work or halftone printing. One ink covers the full production spectrum from bold underbase work to fine-detail spot color prints.
Chill White cures to a clean matte finish with a soft, non-plasticky hand that wears comfortably. No shiny or glossy surface that draws attention to the print texture. The matte finish also photographs and shoots cleanly for product content — a detail that matters for retail, e-commerce, and apparel brands.
Chill White holds reliably on cotton/poly blend garments — the most common substrate mix in the market. The 270°F cure temp keeps the dryer below the dye activation threshold for most blends, and the ink’s formulation is engineered to resist bleed-through on light-colored and mid-tone blend garments.
Available Sizes
- QQuart (32 oz) — Great for shops adding a low-cure white option or running smaller jobs on blend fabrics
- GGallon (128 oz) — Standard production size for regular spot white and underbase work on cotton and blends
- 55-Gallon Pail — High-volume shops running heavy white programs across cotton and cotton/poly blend garments
Application & Press Settings
110–305 mesh monofilament. Use any direct or indirect lacquer-resistant emulsion. For superior ink deposit control, 35–70 micron capillary film delivers consistent results across the full mesh range.
60–70 durometer with a sharp edge for clean ink shear. A 70-90-70 or 60-90-60 triple durometer squeegee is the preferred choice for underbase printing — it maximizes ink deposit while maintaining edge definition.
Cure at 270°F internal ink temp for 1–1.5 minutes, covering the entire ink film. Verify with a donut probe — surface guns read 60–80°F above actual ink temp and will show a false cure reading. Always do a stretch test and wash test before shipping.
Colors are ready to print without modification. If thinning is needed, add Curable Reducer at 1–5% by volume and mix thoroughly. Do not use mineral spirits or solvents — only curable reducer maintains full cure and wash fastness.
Chill White vs. Standard White — The 270°F Advantage
| Feature | Printers Choice Chill White | Standard White Plastisol |
|---|---|---|
| Cure Temperature | 270°F | 320°F (typical) |
| Cure Dwell Time | 1–1.5 minutes | Varies |
| Mesh Range | 110–305 | Typically 86–160 |
| Finish | Matte | Satin to Glossy |
| Hand Feel | Soft | Moderate to Stiff |
| Bleed Resistance on Blends | Yes — built-in | Varies by brand |
| Non-Phthalate | Yes | Varies |
| Best Substrates | Cotton & Cotton/Poly Blends | 100% Cotton |
Infrared surface temperature guns read 60–80°F above actual internal ink temp. A surface reading of 270°F does not mean the ink is cured — it may actually be 190–210°F internally. Always use a donut probe or thermocouple to verify the ink has reached 270°F all the way through the film. Then do a stretch test and wash test before shipping.
Dryer performance varies by ambient temperature, belt speed, ink deposit thickness, and fabric type. Always run a test shirt at the start of every production run. Print, cure, stretch test, and wash test before committing to the full job. River City Supply and its affiliates cannot be held responsible for issues stemming from inadequate curing.
