Monarch Yeti LB White — The Low-Bleed White for Polyester

Polyester and performance blends punish the wrong white — the garment’s dye migrates up and turns your crisp print pink or tan. Yeti LB White is Monarch’s answer: a bright, high-opacity, non-phthalate white with good bleed resistance and a low cure temperature that keeps heat off the fabric. Creamy short body, low tack, prints straight from the bucket on auto or manual presses.

Dialing In Yeti LB White

1. Print

Stir first. Print straight from the bucket through 86–156 mesh with a 70–80 durometer blade — finer mesh for the softest hand and good opacity.

2. Flash

Flash at 230–250°F, just dry to the touch. Don’t over-flash — a hot, tacky surface causes inter-coat adhesion problems.

3. Cure

Cure at 290–300°F (up to 320°F). Run the higher end/longer dwell for cotton, heavy deposits, or heavyweight garments. Always fusion-test.

Why Low-Bleed Matters

On polyester, heat pushes the garment’s disperse dye into your ink film, discoloring the print. A low-bleed white like Yeti resists that migration and cures lower to keep heat down.

Before You Run It

Test for migration. Poorly dyed poly or too much cure heat can beat any low-bleed white. For severe migration, print over a barrier base underlay. Always run a fusion/wash test.

No dry-clean / iron / bleach. Don’t dry-clean, iron, or bleach the printed image — it can damage the cured film.

Store it cool. 65–95°F, out of direct sun, and never above 95°F — this is a low-cure ink and heat can gel it in the container. Seal tightly.

Keep it clean. Stir before use and mix any additives in clean containers with clean blades — contamination can make the ink test positive for restricted phthalates.

What is Yeti LB White best for?

What does “LB” mean?

Low Bleed. Yeti LB has good bleed resistance, which helps block the garment’s dye from migrating up and discoloring your white on polyester and blends.

What temperature does it cure at?

290–300°F typically (fusion range up to 320°F). Run the higher end or a longer dwell for cotton, heavy ink deposits, or heavyweight garments — and always perform a fusion test before production.

What mesh should I use?

86–156. It prints straight from the bucket with no viscosity modifier — finer mesh gives the softest hand while holding good opacity; lower mesh lays a heavier, more opaque deposit.

Do I need to add a reducer or modifier?

No. Yeti LB is a creamy, short-body, low-tack ink designed to print through fine mesh as-is. Just stir it well before printing.

How is Yeti different from Stark White?

Will it stop dye migration completely?

It has good bleed resistance, but poorly dyed polyester or excessive cure heat can overcome any low-bleed white. For severe migration, print over a barrier base underlay, and always run a 48-hour dye-migration/wash test.
