Ergo-Force Squeegee Handle – Ergonomic Screen Printing Handle for Comfort & Precision
Ink Innovations
Ergo-Force Squeegee Handle — an ergonomically designed screen printing squeegee handle engineered to reduce hand, wrist, and arm fatigue during long manual print runs. The contoured grip keeps the wrist in a neutral position during the squeegee stroke, reducing the repetitive strain that accumulates over full production shifts. Aluminum construction. Available in multiple widths. Blade sold separately — compatible with standard Saati Duralife blade stock. $12.00–$36.00.
Price range: $12.00 through $36.00
Description
Ergo-Force — The Squeegee Handle Engineered for Human Hands
Screen printing is a repetitive-motion trade. Manual squeegee strokes — hundreds or thousands per shift — place consistent stress on the hands, wrists, and forearms. A standard wood handle is a grip problem: you hold it in an upright, wrist-flexed position that concentrates strain on the tendons and carpal tunnel area over the course of a production shift. The Ergo-Force handle changes the grip geometry. The contoured handle keeps the wrist in a more neutral position through the stroke, distributing pressure more naturally across the hand, and reducing the cumulative strain that causes chronic pain and repetitive stress injuries in high-volume manual printing environments.
Key Features
Ergo-Force Squeegee — Full Product Overview
Ergo-Force features: Hex Flat grip surfaces, Thumb Groove, Deflection Extension for softer blades, and Easy Clean smooth front. Deflection test (right): same blade, same 25 lbs pressure — far less bow than a standard wood handle.
⚠️ Repetitive Strain in Screen Printing
Repetitive strain injuries (RSI) — including carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis, and forearm muscle fatigue — are a real occupational hazard for manual screen printers. High-volume shops printing hundreds of garments per day accumulate thousands of squeegee strokes per week per printer. An ergonomic handle is not a luxury for high-volume manual shops — it is a practical investment in keeping your press operators healthy and productive. If your shop experiences wrist or forearm fatigue at the end of print shifts, the Ergo-Force handle is worth evaluating.
Blade Selection for Ergo-Force
The Ergo-Force handle accepts standard squeegee blade stock. Choose your durometer based on your printing needs:
| Durometer | Feel | Best For | Product |
|---|---|---|---|
| 60 | Soft | Textile printing: thick inks, heavy garment textures, low mesh counts (60–110). Simulated process printing on textured surfaces. Maximum ink deposit. | 60 Duro Blade |
| 70 | Medium | General garment printing: plastisol and water-based on flat textiles, standard mesh (110–200). The most versatile durometer — the starting point for most shops. | 70 Duro Blade |
| 80 | Hard | High mesh / fine detail: halftones, process printing, 4-color process, fine line work, high mesh counts (200–305+). Less ink deposit, sharper edge definition. | 80 Duro Blade |
| 70/90/70 | Triple | Best of both worlds: soft outer layers (70) grip the fabric and conform to the mesh — hard center core (90) provides rigidity without fatigue. Most popular triple for general garment printing. | 70/90/70 Triple |
| 60/90/60 | Triple | Maximum ink deposit with rigidity: softest outer layers (60) for maximum conformance and ink transfer — hard center (90) for blade stability. Heavy ink deposit jobs, thick plastisol, specialty inks. | 60/90/60 Triple |
