Setup & Operating Notes

Ships on freight pallet
The FC9000 arrives as cutter head + stand + basket on a freight pallet. Plan for liftgate delivery if you don’t have a dock — buyer is responsible for delivery logistics.
Allow assembly time
Plan for 45-60 minutes to assemble the stand and mount the cutter head. Two-person job for safety.
USB flash drive must be FAT32
For direct cutting from USB flash memory, the drive must be FAT32-formatted. NTFS and exFAT are not supported.
Register your warranty
The 3-year parts & labor warranty from Graphtec America requires online registration upon installation.
Test cuts before production
Always run a test cut on the actual media. Sign vinyl, reflective, PPF, magnet, and HTV all want different force/speed combinations.

The FC9000-140 also supports the optional take-up reel for unattended long-format production (wraps up to 65 ft).

Is the FC9000-140 Mac compatible?
Yes. The included software runs on both Windows and Mac. Cutting Master plug-ins also run on Mac for Adobe Illustrator workflows (CorelDRAW is Windows only). Graphtec supports the macOS versions currently maintained by Apple.
Can the FC9000-140 cut DTF transfer film?
Yes — DTF transfer film, heat-transfer vinyl (HTV), glitter HTV, reflective film, and standard sign vinyl are all in the supported media range. ARMS 8.0 handles the contour-cut workflow for printed DTF graphics.
Does the cutter work without a computer connected?
Yes. Save cut files from the included software to a FAT32 USB flash drive, plug it into the cutter, and run jobs directly — no PC tether required. The Datalink Barcode System also queues multiple cut jobs sequentially when reading printed barcode marks from any printer or RIP. Note: USB drives must be FAT32 (NTFS and exFAT are not supported).

What replacement blades and accessories work with this cutter?
The FC9000-140 uses the CB09UB blade family (45° Supersteel) in the PHP33-CB09N-HS bladeholder. Replacement blades, alternate-angle blades for thicker materials (CB15U for sandblast/flock, CB09U-K30 for fine detail), cutting mats, and consumables are all available in our cutting plotter accessories section.
