Power Considerations

2,223W draws 18.5A on 120V. You need a 20-amp circuit (NEMA 5-20P outlet — the one with the horizontal slot). Don’t try to plug it into a 15A outlet.

Same Afford-A-Flash trade-offs vs. the Black Flash: no switch, no indicator light, no 360° head. The 18″ Afford-A-Flash uses the same heating element as the 18″ Black Flash.

Startups printing larger images, shops doing full-front graphics, and as a backup unit at production shops with 16″+ platens.

Best Press Pairing

Manual presses with 16″ or 18″ platens. The 22″ heater dimension means you have margin around the print for full-coverage flash.
