Application & Screen Preparation
- Mesh Preparation:
- Ensure the screen is completely clean and dry before coating.
- Use degreaser for best adhesion and stencil longevity.
- Coating Process:
- Apply 1–2 coats of emulsion to the print side of the screen.
- Reverse the screen and apply 1–2 coats to the squeegee side as needed.
- Use a clean coating trough with a smooth edge for even application.
- Drying Conditions:
- Maintain a temperature of 86° to 104°F (30° to 40°C) with 30% to 50% humidity.
- Use a dehumidifier and proper airflow for optimal drying.
- Exposure Guidelines:
- Use an exposure calculator to determine optimal exposure times based on screen mesh, stencil thickness, and light source.
- Handle coated screens in light-safe conditions until fully exposed.
- Washout & Drying:
- Spray both sides of the screen with water and allow the emulsion to soften.
- Wash the print side until the image is fully open.
