AlbaChem® · Item #1782 · 12 oz Aerosol · Shop All Spray Adhesives

A Cleaner Adhesive Formula — Without Compromising on Performance

AlbaChem® 1782 Eco Mist is built for shops that care about what they’re spraying. Free from hexane and chlorinated solvents — chemicals regulated for occupational exposure — it delivers pressure-sensitive, flashable adhesion for screen printing, embroidery, and cutting room applications. Repositionable, fast-drying, and residue-free. A capable daily driver with a cleaner chemistry profile.

What’s Included

1AlbaChem® 1782 Eco Mist Adhesive — 12 oz aerosol can
Available individually or by the case — 12 cans per case (13 lbs)
Pairs with Printers Choice Pallet Tape for optimal platen prep and cleanup

Key Performance Features

Flashable Formula

AlbaChem describes the 1782 as a “flashable screen print pallet adhesive.” Tack holds stable through flash cure cycles without going gummy or releasing under normal production heat — suitable for single-flash jobs on standard setups.

No Hexane, No Chlorinated Solvents

Hexane is an OSHA-regulated neurotoxic solvent. Chlorinated solvents carry similar occupational health concerns. The 1782 excludes both — a meaningful difference in daily chemical exposure for operators spraying adhesive all day.

Pressure-Sensitive Bond

Creates a repositionable, pressure-sensitive hold. Garments can be placed, adjusted, and pressed firmly into final position before printing — activating on contact without permanently bonding to fabric.

Will Not Transfer

Dries to a tack that will not transfer residue onto garment fabric. Shirts come off the platen clean with no sticky spots — no customer complaints about adhesive on printed apparel interiors.

Three-Department Use

Screen printing pallets, embroidery rooms (applique hold before stitching), and cutting rooms (blotting paper positioning). One product stocked, multiple departments served.

Clean Chemistry Profile

No alkylphenol ethoxylates, no hazardous air pollutants (HAP), no SARA 313 chemicals, no ozone-depleting substances. A formula designed with the working shop environment in mind.

Safety & Ventilation

PPE Required

Wear chemical-resistant gloves and safety glasses. Avoid prolonged skin and eye contact.

Ventilation

Use in a well-ventilated area. Aromatic petroleum/ketone vapors — keep exhaust airflow running during and after spraying.

Flammability

Flammable aerosol propellant. Keep away from open flames, sparks, and heat. Do not puncture or incinerate.

California Note

Not CARB-compliant. CA customers order 1782C. Call (512) 454-0505.

Pallet Tape Workflow

Cover the platen with pallet tape before spraying the 1782. This protects the platen from adhesive buildup — end-of-job cleanup is just peeling the tape. No solvents, no scrubbing.

1782 vs. 1787 vs. 1786 — Which Adhesive Is Right for You?

Choose 1782 Eco Mist When…

You want a cleaner chemical profile, no hexane, multi-department flexibility (screen printing + embroidery + cutting), and solid performance on standard single-flash or non-flash jobs. The eco-conscious choice.

Choose 1787 Mist When…

Maximum tack strength is the priority. The 1787’s coarse mist pattern delivers super-strong grip with low overspray — the heavy-duty option for demanding jobs on standard apparel.

Choose 1786 Flash When…

You’re running multi-color jobs with multiple flash cure stations. The 1786’s tack increases with each flash cycle — built specifically for that workflow.

Application Guide

Step 1 — Tape the Platen

Apply pallet tape to the clean platen. Smooth flat with no bubbles.

Step 2 — Shake & Spray

Shake well. Hold 6–8 inches from the tape surface. Sweep evenly. Light coat = temporary repositionable bond. Moderate coat both sides = permanent bond.

Step 3 — Load & Print

Place garment and press lightly. Pressure-sensitive tack activates on contact. Garments can be repositioned before the print head comes down.

Step 4 — Cleanup

Peel pallet tape for zero-solvent cleanup. Invert can after use and spray until clear air flows to prevent nozzle clogging.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions — AlbaChem® 1782 Eco Mist

What makes the 1782 an “eco” adhesive?

The 1782 contains no hexane, no chlorinated solvents, no alkylphenol ethoxylates, no hazardous air pollutants (HAP), no SARA 313 chemicals, and no ozone-depleting substances. For shops spraying adhesives all day, every day, excluding these regulated chemicals makes a real difference in daily operator exposure.

Is the 1782 flashable?

Yes — AlbaChem’s TDS specifically describes it as a “flashable screen print pallet adhesive.” Tack holds stable through single flash cure cycles. For multi-color jobs with multiple flash stations, the 1786 Flash is the better choice — its tack is heat-activated and increases with each flash.

Does it work in embroidery rooms?

Yes. AlbaChem lists embroidery as a primary application — the 1782 holds appliques in position before stitching. It also works in cutting rooms to hold blotting paper during fabric cutting. One can serves screen printing, embroidery, and cutting departments.

Will it transfer residue to garments?

No. The 1782 dries to a tack that will not transfer adhesive residue to garment fabric. Shirts come off the platen clean.

Can I buy it in California?

California customers need the 1782C (CARB-compliant version). The standard 1782 does not meet CA VOC requirements. Call us at (512) 454-0505 and we’ll get you the right version.

How is the 1782 different from the 1787?

The 1782 is the eco-conscious choice — no hexane, cleaner chemistry, multi-department use. The 1787 Premium Mist uses a coarse mist pattern for super-strong tack and is the better option when maximum grip is the priority.

What spray distance should I use?

Hold the can 6 to 8 inches from the surface and sweep evenly. Light coat to one side = temporary repositionable bond. Moderate coat to both sides = permanent bond.

Is there a water-based, aerosol-free option?

Yes — Printers Choice Liquid Pallet Adhesive is a water-based, brush-on option with zero overspray. A great choice for aerosol-free or ultra-eco shop environments.
