What does ‘zero tack’ mean?
Zero tack means the cured print surface has absolutely no stickiness or adhesion feel. When you run your hand across the print, it feels smooth and non-sticky. Garments stack cleanly without prints adhering to each other. This is a formulation-level characteristic of Acrylicon White — not just a result of proper curing.
Is Acrylicon White actual silicone ink?
No. Acrylicon White is an acrylic-based water-based ink that produces a finish resembling silicone ink. It uses the same binder chemistry, additives, and cure profile as all other Matsui acrylic whites. For true silicone ink performance, Matsui offers the Yama silicone series, which requires different chemistry and catalyst mixing.
Should I use Acrylicon White or Soft Stretch White?
Both are premium whites for performance garments. The difference is what ‘premium’ means. Acrylicon White optimizes for finish quality — matte visual appearance and zero-tack surface. Soft Stretch White optimizes for softness — the lightest, most barely-there print weight. Choose Acrylicon when the finish is the selling point. Choose Soft Stretch White when maximum softness is the selling point.
Can I mix custom colors with Acrylicon White?
Yes — add up to 15% Matsui Neo Pigments. The resulting colors inherit Acrylicon White’s matte finish and zero-tack surface. For matte-finish transparent colors, pair with Acrylicon Clear.
Why do I need to use clean vessels with Acrylicon White?
Acrylicon White is formulated without certain additives that provide contamination tolerance. Residual ink from other sources can affect both the finish quality and potentially cause the ink to test positive for restricted substances. Always use clean mixing vessels and utensils.
What mesh count should I use?

Do I need to add anything to this ink before printing?
