Description

Supacolor LoMelt Transfer — Single Image, 11.7″ × 4.25″

LoMelt is Supacolor’s low-temperature heat transfer, engineered for fabrics that can’t survive a standard press. A cooler-activating adhesive bonds your full-color design to nylon, polyester, performance and coated garments without the scorch marks, gloss, or press lines that ruin heat-sensitive material — while keeping Supacolor’s signature vibrant, durable finish.

This 11.7″ × 4.25″ single-image transfer is printed to your artwork with no color limits. Across-chest strips, lower-back hits, hoodie sleeves, and long thin wordmarks.

Why Printers Choose LoMelt

🌡️
Low-Temp Adhesive
Presses cooler than standard transfers so heat-shy fabrics don’t scorch, gloss, or show press lines.
🧵
Made for Tough Fabrics
Nylon, 100% polyester, performance wear, tri-blends, spandex, dri-fit, and water-resistant/coated items.
🌈
Full, Unlimited Color
Photographic detail and crisp edges with no per-color limits — PMS/Pantone matching available.
💧
Water-Based & OEKO-Tex
Printed with water-based inks (not plastic) on an OEKO-Tex Standard 100 accredited sheet.
✍️
Printed to Your Art
A custom single-image transfer made from your design — press-ready, no screens or weeding.
💪
Durable Wash Performance
Built to hold vibrant color through repeated home laundering when applied correctly.

How to Apply Your LoMelt Transfer

1
Set your heat press
Use a commercial heat press with adjustable, even pressure. Follow the temperature and time on the instruction sheet included with your order — LoMelt activates at a lower temperature than standard Supacolor.
2
Position the transfer
Place the transfer on the garment, keeping the design away from seams, pockets, and collars. Center smaller items for even pressure.
3
Cover and press
Lay a non-stick/parchment or Teflon sheet over the transfer and press with medium/firm pressure (around 40 PSI).
4
Hot peel
Peel immediately while hot, starting from a corner in one smooth, confident motion. Hold the garment with your free hand.
5
Seal the edges
Re-cover with the non-stick sheet and post-press for about 2 seconds to lock down the edges.

What Makes LoMelt Different

Standard heat transfers need higher press temperatures that can scorch nylon, gloss polyester, or leave permanent press boxes on delicate performance fabrics. LoMelt uses a specially formulated low-melt adhesive that bonds at a reduced temperature, protecting the garment while still delivering Supacolor’s full-color quality.

  • Ideal for nylon, 100% polyester, spandex, dri-fit, tri-blends, and water-resistant or PVC-coated items
  • Prevents scorch marks, shine, and visible press lines on sensitive material
  • Need dye-migration protection too? Ask about the LoMelt Blocker variant
  • Always test-press a spare or scrap garment before a full run

Choosing & Using This Transfer

What does “single image” mean?
One design printed per transfer — not a gang sheet. You order the size that fits your artwork, so there’s no wasted sheet and no minimums.
How do I pick a size?
The size is the maximum design area. This is the 11.7″ × 4.25″ option. Compare all nine sizes in the chart below and pick the one that fits your placement.
Cotton or standard fabric?
If your garment isn’t heat-sensitive, the Wearable or SupaDTF lines are usually more economical. Use LoMelt specifically when heat could damage the fabric.

Before You Press

Use a real heat press
Not designed for a household iron or Cricut Easy Press — these can’t hold the even pressure LoMelt needs. Use a press with adjustable pressure (auto-open recommended).
Always test first
Press a spare or scrap garment to dial in settings before full production. Settings vary by press and fabric.
Custom & made to order
Each transfer is custom-printed to your artwork, so it’s a non-returnable item. Double-check your art and size before ordering.
Artwork tips
Very fine details under ~1 pt may receive a thin garment-color outline. Avoid drop shadows, glows, and fades, and only submit artwork you’re authorized to print.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Supacolor LoMelt transfer used for?
LoMelt is a low-temperature heat transfer for fabrics that scorch, gloss, or distort under normal press heat — nylon, polyester, performance wear, tri-blends, spandex, dri-fit, and water-resistant or coated items. It delivers full-color Supacolor quality without damaging heat-sensitive material.
What fabrics can I press it on?
It’s designed for heat-sensitive and synthetic fabrics: nylon, 100% polyester, performance/athletic wear, tri-blends, spandex, dri-fit, and water-resistant or PVC-coated items. For standard cotton and blends with no heat sensitivity, the Wearable or SupaDTF lines are usually more economical.
Hot peel or cold peel?
Hot peel. Peel the carrier immediately after pressing, starting from a corner in one smooth, confident motion. Then re-cover and post-press about 2 seconds to seal the edges.
What press settings should I use?
Use a commercial heat press with medium/firm pressure (around 40 PSI) and a non-stick or Teflon cover sheet. LoMelt activates at a lower temperature than standard Supacolor — follow the exact temperature and time on the instruction sheet included with your order, and always test-press first. Full pressing instructions are available on Supacolor’s website.
Can I use a household iron or Cricut Easy Press?
No. LoMelt needs a heat press that delivers consistent, even pressure. A household iron or Cricut Easy Press can’t maintain the pressure required for a clean, durable bond.
What does “single image” mean?
Each transfer is one design (not a gang sheet of multiple images). You choose the size that fits your artwork and order exactly what you need, with no minimums.
How many colors can my design have?
Unlimited. LoMelt prints full color with photographic detail and crisp edges, and we can PMS/Pantone match for brand-exact color.
How durable and washable is it?
Applied correctly, LoMelt holds vibrant color through repeated home laundering. Domestic wash, then tumble or line dry.
Which size should I order?
Pick by your design’s maximum dimensions. Sizes range from 1.5″ × 1.5″ up to a full A3 11.7″ × 16.5″. See the size guide on this page and choose the option that fits your placement.
How does shipping work?
LoMelt transfers are custom-printed and drop-ship directly from Supacolor. Production typically takes a few business days — message us for the current turnaround on your order.
Are LoMelt transfers returnable?
Because each transfer is custom-printed to your artwork, it’s a non-returnable product. Please confirm your design and size before ordering.
