Description

Supacolor Blocker Transfer — Extra Small 1.5″ × 1.5″

Modern synthetics like polyester look great but fight back under heat: sublimation and pattern dyes reactivate and bleed into your print, turning it pink, gray, or muddy. Supacolor Blocker combines a high-opacity white water-based ink with a special bleed-resistant blocking formula for a true no-bleed result — not just the reduced bleed of a low-temp transfer.

This Extra Small 1.5″ × 1.5″ single-image transfer is printed to your artwork. Brand tags, labels, and tiny accents on dye-migrating fabric.

Why Printers Choose Blocker

Saves Garments
Avoid ruined blanks and costly reprints when decorating unknown or migration-prone fabrics.
🌈
Full Color, PMS & Metallics

Wash-tested past 70 washes without cracking or fading when applied correctly.

How to Apply Your Blocker Transfer

1
Set your heat press
Use a commercial heat press at about 290–300°F with medium/firm pressure (around 40 PSI). Follow the instruction sheet included with your order.
2
Pre-press (optional)
Pre-press the garment ~2 seconds to remove wrinkles and moisture. Not required for 100% polyester.
3
Position the transfer
Place the transfer where you want it, keeping clear of seams, pockets, and collars.
4
Cover and press
Lay a Teflon or parchment sheet over the transfer and press for about 10–15 seconds.
5
Hot peel
Peel immediately while hot, from a corner in one smooth motion. Then post-press a few seconds under Teflon to seal.

True No-Bleed vs. Low-Bleed

Low-temperature transfers can reduce bleed, but only a true no-bleed transfer like Supacolor Blocker fully blocks the dye and preserves your design. The high-opacity screen-printed white backing also makes colors pop on both light and dark synthetics.

  • For sublimated polyester, patterned poly, dye-sublimated jerseys, and heavily-dyed or saturated synthetics
  • Printing on softshell fabric? Use the Softshell Blocker, which is tuned for that material
  • For cotton and non-migrating blends with no bleed risk, Wearable or SupaDTF is more economical
  • Migration can appear days later — test unknown fabrics and let them rest 4–5 days to confirm

Choosing & Using This Transfer

What does “single image” mean?
One design per transfer at this size. Need multiple designs on one sheet? Choose a SupaGang Blocker sheet instead.
How do I pick a size?
The size is the maximum design area. This is the Extra Small 1.5″ × 1.5″ option. Compare all options in the chart below.
Blocker, Softshell, Wearable?
Use Blocker for sublimated/patterned poly, Softshell Blocker for softshell, and Wearable/SupaDTF for cotton and non-migrating fabrics.

Before You Press

Use a real heat press
Not for a household iron or Cricut Easy Press — Blocker needs a press with consistent, even pressure.
Test unknown fabrics
Not sure a fabric bleeds? Test first and let it rest 4–5 days — migration can show up days after pressing.
Custom & made to order
Each transfer is custom-printed to your artwork, so it’s non-returnable. Confirm your art and size before ordering.
Artwork tips
Details under ~1 pt get a thin garment-color outline. Avoid drop shadows, glows, and fades, and only submit artwork you’re authorized to print.
Printing on polyester that might bleed?
Send us the garment and artwork — we’ll help you confirm migration risk and pick the right Blocker size.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Supacolor Blocker transfer for?
Blocker is a full-color heat transfer with a built-in dye-blocking layer that stops migration on sublimated, patterned, and heavily-dyed polyester. It keeps your colors true and prevents the pink/gray bleed that ruins prints on synthetics.
How is Blocker different from a low-temp transfer?
Low-temperature transfers can reduce bleed, but only a true no-bleed transfer like Blocker fully blocks the dye. It pairs a high-opacity white backing with a bleed-resistant blocking formula for complete protection.
What fabrics should I use it on?
Sublimated and patterned polyester, dye-sublimated jerseys, and heavily-dyed or saturated synthetics — plus cotton and blends. If you’re printing on softshell, use the Softshell Blocker instead. For cotton with no bleed risk, Wearable or SupaDTF is more economical.
How do I know if my fabric will bleed?
When in doubt, block. You can test a fabric first, but note that migration isn’t always immediate — let the test rest 4–5 days after pressing to confirm the result.
Hot peel or cold peel?
Hot peel. Press at about 290–300°F with medium/firm pressure for roughly 10–15 seconds, then peel immediately from a corner in one smooth motion and post-press to seal.
Can I PMS match or print metallics?
Yes. Unlike DTF, Blocker is a screen-printed-style transfer, so we can PMS/Pantone match your brand colors and print metallics at no extra cost.
Can I use a household iron or Cricut Easy Press?
No. Blocker needs a heat press that delivers consistent, even pressure. A household iron or Cricut Easy Press can’t maintain the pressure required for a clean, durable bond.
What is a SupaGang sheet?
A SupaGang Blocker sheet lets you place multiple images/designs on one sheet (at any size and order, as long as they fit). The standard single sizes hold one design each. Gang sheets are an efficient way to combine many small prints into one order.
How durable and washable is it?
Applied correctly, Blocker is wash-tested to 50+ washes (testing stopped at 70) without cracking or fading, with good stretch for active wear.
Which size should I order?
Pick by your design’s maximum dimensions, from 1.5″ × 1.5″ up to 11.7″ × 16.5″, or choose a SupaGang sheet to combine multiple designs. See the size guide on this page.
How does shipping work?
Blocker transfers are custom-printed and drop-ship directly from Supacolor. Production typically takes a few business days — message us for the current turnaround on your order.
Are Blocker transfers returnable?
Because each transfer is custom-printed to your artwork, it’s a non-returnable product. Please confirm your design and size before ordering.
