Description
Deep, Authoritative Green for Brands Built to Last
Forest Green #142 is the green of old-growth timber, premium hunting brands, and national park entrance signs. It communicates permanence, quality, and an authentic connection to the outdoors that lighter greens simply cannot carry. When your brand is built around the natural world, Forest Green is the only choice.
Rich Hunter-Forest Deep Green
Color #142 is a deep, full-bodied forest green — darker and more natural than Kelly Green, with the premium outdoor quality of hunting brand logos, national park identification, and luxury conservation signage. The green that whispers quality rather than shouting it.
Premium Ultra-High Gloss Finish
The 4200 Series topcoat adds a polished, refined quality to Forest Green’s natural depth — giving hunting and fishing brand signage the look of premium branded gear and outdoor recreation signage the authority of an official national designation.
Bond That Holds Through the Elements
The clear permanent acrylic adhesive builds to 2.5 lbs/in after 24 hours — engineered to hold through the rain, UV, temperature cycling, and humidity that outdoor recreation, park, and wilderness-adjacent signage environments demand year after year.
5-Year Outdoor Durability
Rated up to 5 years outdoors — the longevity that permanent trailhead signage, outfitter vehicle graphics, conservation organization displays, and premium outdoor brand installations require from day one.

How to Apply — Step by Step
Set cutter force to 40–60g and run a test cut before production. Use a fresh blade for cleanest results.
Weed excess vinyl with a weeding hook. FDC 4200’s cast-like flexibility handles fine detail without tearing neighboring cuts.
Apply your 24″ application tape over the weeded design. Squeegee firmly from center out to bond tape to the vinyl face.
Clean with 70% isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Allow to dry completely. Surface must be at or above 40°F.
Position the design, squeegee from center outward to eliminate air pockets, then peel transfer tape at a low angle. Allow 24 hours to cure.
You’ll Also Need: Application Tape
A quality 24″ application tape ensures your Forest Green graphics transfer cleanly and position precisely every time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions — FDC 4200 Forest Green Sign Vinyl
How does Forest Green #142 differ from Kelly Green #061?
Forest Green #142 is significantly darker and more muted than Kelly Green — it carries the deep, natural quality of old-growth timber and hunter green. Kelly Green #061 is brighter, more saturated, and more vivid — the classic sports and Irish heritage green. If your brand is about the outdoors and premium nature connection, Forest Green. If it’s about sports and cultural identity, Kelly Green.
Is Forest Green good for hunting and fishing brand vehicle graphics?
It’s one of the top color choices for exactly that application. FDC 4200 holds on properly prepared vehicle surfaces and handles outdoor UV and weather well. Clean with IPA, apply above 40°F, and cure 24 hours before washing.
Does Forest Green work for national and state park signage?
Forest Green is widely used for park and conservation signage — its deep, authoritative character communicates official stewardship and environmental identity. FDC 4200 is appropriate for permanent identification panels, trailhead markers, and interpretive display signage that sees sustained outdoor exposure.
What colors pair with Forest Green for outdoor brand graphics?
Forest Green pairs classically with cream, tan, gold, and white for an authentic premium outdoor look. Black creates a bold tactical combination. Bronze or copper tones complement it beautifully for luxury brand work.
Can Forest Green be used on military and tactical brand signage?
Yes — Forest Green’s deep, muted character pairs naturally with tactical and military-adjacent aesthetics. It works well alongside olive drab, tan, and black in woodland palette-themed signage.
Will Forest Green fade faster outdoors than lighter greens?
Dark colors absorb more UV energy and can accelerate fading under sustained direct sun. FDC 4200 includes UV stabilizers and holds its color well under standard 5-year outdoor conditions. A UV-protective overlaminate extends the graphic life significantly for south-facing installations.
What application tape works best with Forest Green?
PC-24 paper tape is the reliable workhorse for Forest Green. For precision overlay work — tan or gold letterforms positioned against a Forest Green base panel — the clear 24″ film tape provides see-through alignment for accurate registration.
