Nothing grabs attention like a mirror-silver print. AMagic S5 is a bright, reflective silver textile foil that turns logos, lettering and graphics into high-shine, luxury metallic on apparel. It’s a screen-print-plus-heat-press process: you print a foil adhesive in your design, cure it, then press the foil so it bonds exactly where you printed. How to Apply Foil

1 · Print the adhesive

Screen print foil adhesive wherever you want foil. Use 60–110 mesh, a 75° squeegee at medium speed, flood then print. Matsui water-based is our pick — it runs cleaner, feels softer and grips foil better than plastisol; Printers Choice plastisol works too.

2 · Cure & ready the adhesive

Cure/gel the adhesive per its instructions — roughly 284–302°F (140–150°C) for about 3 minutes — so it’s set and tacky, ready to grab the foil.

3 · Press the foil

Lay the foil dull (adhesive) side down, shiny color side up, over the printed area. Heat press 284–320°F at 40–60 psi for 6–15 seconds, let it cool completely, then peel the clear carrier film away (cold peel).

What is AMagic S5 Bright Silver foil?

What adhesive do I need?

A foil adhesive, printed first. We recommend Matsui water-based foil adhesive — it works better than plastisol, with a thinner, cleaner film and softer hand. Printers Choice printable plastisol adhesive is also a solid option.

Do I need a heat press?

Yes — foil is applied with a heat press (or a press platen) at 284–320°F, 40–60 psi, for 6–15 seconds. A home iron won’t give consistent, durable results.

Hot peel or cold peel?

Cold peel. Let the pressed foil cool completely, then peel the clear carrier film away — peeling hot can lift the foil.

What fabrics can I foil?

Cotton, blends, polyester and more, as long as they take the adhesive and tolerate the press temperature. Always test your specific fabric first.

How do I care for foiled garments?

Turn inside-out and wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Skip harsh detergents, and don’t iron directly on the foil. Proper care keeps the shine bright.
