Technical Specifications

Application & Screen Preparation

  1. Mesh Preparation:
    • Ensure the screen is completely clean and dry before coating.
    • Use degreaser for best adhesion and stencil longevity.
  2. Coating Process:
    • Apply 1–2 coats of emulsion to the print side of the screen.
    • Reverse the screen and apply 1–2 coats to the squeegee side as needed.
    • Use a clean coating trough with a smooth edge for even application.
  3. Drying Conditions:
    • Maintain a temperature of 86° to 104°F (30° to 40°C) with 30% to 50% humidity.
    • Use a dehumidifier and proper airflow for optimal drying.
  4. Exposure Guidelines:
    • Use an exposure calculator to determine optimal exposure times based on screen mesh, stencil thickness, and light source.
    • Handle coated screens in light-safe conditions until fully exposed.
  5. Washout & Drying:
    • Spray both sides of the screen with water and allow the emulsion to soften.
    • Wash the print side until the image is fully open.
    • Thoroughly rinse and dry the screen before printing.
  6. Storage & Shelf Life:
    • Unopened emulsion lasts up to one year when stored in a cool, dry place.
